We absolutely love this ONVIS security camera system. From it's easy set up, great picture/video quality, to convenience to move, add, charge and adjust within the smartphone/tablet app, I really feel like this system is one of the best on the market. Free cloud storage is an added benefit however I also opted to plug in a USB drive to the base to record and save videos on. It is great to indoor use. If you are planning on putting a camera behind a glass window, say trying to monitor/record outside video while mounting the camera inside behind glass, it does not seem to pick up motion outside to record. I use this homekit secure camera to check what's going on with my baby daughter when I am at work. Really impressed by its high video quality and good resolution compared to other similar video cams. It uses onvis app the set up, which is easy to get on. Two way talk function really works when I try to talk to my little one. Night vision video quality is fine but don't forget to turn on the infrared light, otherwise you will get poor night vision. The product support service is prompt and professional when I encounter using problems. Worth the cost. ... show more

    • Can’t Stay Connected for Long
I’m trying to use this on my HomeKit setup and this camera stays online for 5 hours at a time before disconnecting. The wifi is strong and once power cycling, it works perfectly… for like 5-10 hours before it goes offline again and the cycle continues. I bought this before I moved to my new place so I missed the return window. I guess I’m stuck with a SECURITY camera that can’t even stay online for the entire time I’m at my job.     • Unreliable. Would not recommend
I’ve had this camera for 8 months now, I bought three of them. The connection is constantly going out and I find myself resetting them multiple times per day. If it were just one of them, I’d think it was defective, but it is all three. I see there is a firmware update, but the app fails every time I try to update. The video quality is OK, but an unreliable security camera is a pretty useless security camera. I have a 4th HomeKit camera by another manufacturer and that has had no problems at all and is the farthest one from any WiFi access point, so I know this isn’t my home network causing the issue. ... show more

    • 0 for 2! Purchased 2 units and both failed within a year of purchase date.
Both units worked as advertised for a couple months. Unfortunately I had not considered how challenging troubleshooting would be in the event of a failure. Please understand before purchasing, a step in troubleshooting is to test the cameras on a complete separate network. This means if you are using the Apple HomeKit you will need to setup both the failed camera AND your Apple Hub device and on an entirely different WiFi network. ... show more

The worst Homekit Camera ever made. Constantly is non responsive and I had to add a wifi plug with an automation to it to reset every couple hours. If you are looking for a camera buy the Eufy brand!!
