This thing would be perfect. However they did not give this hardware some thought. The pin part of the screw handle is too short, ideally you would want to pin the hole the secure it by screwing it in. In this case they cut the pin to short so you have to thread it in then try to line to hole up with the pin. If only they made the pin longer could have been 5 stars. I would not try to change the grill level while cooking, finding that small hole and threaded it at the same time while trying to work around a fire is high risk!

This is a neat rotisserie, and grill. It's not very sturdy, talking about, swaying from side to side. The assembling directions for the brackets, the pictures are inverted. Otherwise, simple to assemble. Not wide enough at the base, to fit around a National Park fire pit. Had to pull off the plastic end caps, and set the rotisserie on top of park grate. Works great! I made two mistakes, one; should used twine to secure the spiral cut ham. Two; Used the fire to cremate clean the grill. That ate the paint off. I suppose the positive view is, I won't be eating any paint chips. For a really good smoke, use wood chips, and soak them. Wet chips are much more smokey. The ham was amazing, the buffalo steaks were great, and the barbeque chicken, was off the hook.

I am very confused if I should give this gril 3 or 4 stars. The fact that it doesn't have AC power and only operate via batteries bothered me so much as I can save Battery life and use AC power while I am at home. I used it one time so far and used to grill about 10 chicken thighs sticked next to each other and it almost needed 2 hours and maybe little more because it's open, so I like that it comes with rotisserie, but not happy that its not AC operated. Also It takes way longer than normal grill with led/cover to finish up the checking or any other type of meet. it's also not 100% steady and I had to move the rotisserie bar couple times as It was stuck and to be honest I am not sure if the reason was me doing something wrong or the grill itself. Overall I would say it's really good for Trips/Picnics/Camping but not for hom as you will need to buy 2 D batteries, they are the largest cylinder ones. I might give this grill another chance and see what happen.

This quality of the unit was of good quality. Being unsure if D batteries would last our full cooking time we placed our electric unit on the stand. The stand is of good quality. It was difficult to adjust the height onece cooking began due to the location of the adjustment screws. We used the platform to warm/cook other items to go along with the meal. We are happy and very satisfied with the stand and tod unit- unsure about battery operated motor since we didnt use it.
