I'm really enjoying this smoking attachment for my Weber kettles. I now have three shelves on which to smoke meat. I haven't tried hanging ribs yet but I suspect I'll be able to do at least 12 racks at a time. That will be a game changer when I have to cook for large groups. The unit is very well built. It's sturdy and well designed. It's made of high quality stainless steel. It fit my kettles very nicely. The access door is large and makes it easy to get to whatever I'm cooking. I paired this with my Weber Deluxe Performer, and it was a perfect fit for my grill. There is a little bit of a learning curve for temperature control, but once you get the hang of it you’ll be just fine. The first meal I made on this was smoked chicken legs, and they were perfect. It was so easy to add extra charcoal and wood chunks as time passed. I have also used this for regular grilling, and it is very versatile for both grilling and smoking. Very durable and reliable. It works great! My husband has done ribs and a meatloaf. Both turned out great. It does put off a lot of smoke so I would recommend using fruit wood.

This turned my weber kettle into a full fledged smoker. The temperature is easy to regulate. The ring will allow for up to 3 standard 22 inch Weber kettle grates to allow for even more cooking area. So you can smoke a lot of meat on the grill, or hang a lot of meat vertically with the hanging frame. The construction is sturdy enough and the ring sits cleanly on the kettle. I did have an issue with the hanging frame being warped (likely shipment damage) and not sitting cleanly on the top. I contacted the seller and they sent me out a replacement free of charge. So excellent customer service. Looking forward to many meat feasts with this upgrade to my weber kettle. ... show more

I like this set up but looking back I probably should have just bought a weber smokey mountain. I take it back this set up is far more versatile than the smokey mountain. Often times I will put a grill grate instead of the hanging rack. That let's you cook directly over the coals without burning your meat and you can use the entire grate space. ... show more
