Light illuminates well, bright and adjustable. However, it always loses the network connection after a day or two and is perpetually’offline’. Does not connect via Bluetooth either, though it is supposed to. With no network connection/ Bluetooth there is no way to control the light (except hard off by switch or breaker). Funny because the first time I turn the front porch light on the first thing I heard was “WOW that is bright” from a passing by neighbor, good thing I can control the brightness with the Onforu APP. Looking to flood your yard with flagship-level brightness, tailor the ambiance with a tap, and still save on your electricity bill? The Onforu 65W Smart LED Flood Light promises all that and more. I installed a pair of these, one in my backyard and other at the front to see if they live up to the hype—and here’s what happened. Key Features: • 6500 lumens of total output, four adjustable light heads • 300° quad-beam design for wide, even illumination • WiFi control via Onforu app (2.4 GHz only) • Adjustable color temperature from 2700 K to 6500 K • Dimmable from 1% to 100% brightness • Custom timers and schedules • Voice activation through Alexa and Google Home • Estimated 85% energy savings compared to halogen Impressions & Installation: I unboxed the flood light and was struck by its solid, all-metal housing—no flimsy plastics here. Mounting was straightforward: the adjustable bracket lets you aim each head independently, and the hardwired connection felt secure. My only hiccup was ensuring my WiFi extender reached the mounting spot, but once connected, then linking the light to the Onforu app took few more minutes. Recommend reading the manual once, twice or a third time, but all is there. NOTE: It only works with 2.4 GHz WiFi. (The good – 2.4 GHz reach greater distance than 5 GHz) Performance & Light Quality: Once up and running, the quad-beam design delivered edge-to-edge coverage across the patio and lawn. At full tilt, the cool white mode (6500 K) banished shadows, while the warm white (2700 K) setting created a cozy glow for late-night gatherings. The 1%–100% dimming curve felt smooth, making it easy to dial in just the right mood. Use the APP to do all that. Smart Control & Customization: Through the Onforu app I set up two daily schedules: bright white at dusk for security, then a gentle warm glow for midnight with friends. The memory function remembered my last settings perfectly. Voice control with Alexa never missed a beat— “Alexa, turn on backyard lights” instantly responded. Energy Efficiency & Savings: Swapping the old 150 W halogen flood light for this 65 W LED will cut my energy draw by over half. With smart scheduling, the lights only run when needed, will translate to real savings on my monthly bill. Over a year, I expect to recoup the initial investment through reduced electricity costs alone. This was a pretty easy install. I had to make a few adjustments because of how they put the siding on the house, but it was all doable with the hardware provided. In fact, the longest part of the install was finding which circuit breaker the electricians had put the outside light on. I got this to replace a very effective, but inefficient older design that was large and generated a lot of heat and heat means wasted energy in this situation. It was also unidirectional so it cast an intense but narrow beam of light. This unit allows you to offset the side lights to almost a 90 degree angle if you decided or needed to. The functionality was exceptional once I had it up. The light could be adjusted both in intensity and hue from a bright white to a more gentle yellow. The app let you put it on a timer, manually turn it off and on, and even adjust the intensity over the time you had it on. I'm still working through all of the functions. My only issue with the app was it didn't like one of my wifi portals for some reason. That said it immediately hooked up to the other one. The look of this is modern, but quite good and I think better than what it replaced and it is smaller and less intrusive than its predecessor. While I was tempted to go with a motion detection unit there just so happens to be a well traveled bunny rabbit path that crosses in front of this. I have less intrusive and more targeted motion sensors elsewhere and the phone activation works well enough that if I want to check something at night or blind someone I can, but I don't have to worry about calls from neighbors every time the rabbits decide to move across my backyard. ... show more

I got the Smart LED Flood Light to light up my driveway and backyard, and honestly, I’ve tried a few outdoor lights before, but this one is next level. It’s super bright, easy to control, and actually looks kinda sleek once installed. 💡 Brightness That Actually Covers the Whole Area This thing puts out 6500 lumens, and it’s no joke. I mounted it above my garage and it lights up the entire driveway and part of the yard. The 4 adjustable heads are awesome—you can angle them however you want, and the coverage is huge. I don’t even need a second light anymore. 📱 App Control Is Super Convenient The Onforu app is easy to use once you get it set up (just make sure you’re on 2.4GHz WiFi, not 5G). I can adjust the brightness from 0% to 100%, change the color temperature from warm to cool (2700K to 6500K), and even set timers for when it turns on and off. It’s great for security and also just for evening hangouts. 🗣️ Alexa Integration Works Like a Charm I hooked it up to Alexa, and now I just say “turn on the floodlight” and boom—it’s on. You can also group it with other smart devices, which is cool if you’ve got a smart home setup. It responds fast and hasn’t glitched out once. 🔌 Hardwired Setup But Worth It It’s not solar or battery powered, so you do need to hardwire it. Took me about 30 minutes with basic tools. Once it’s up, though, it’s solid. No flickering, no weird power issues. Just make sure you’ve got a good spot with access to power. 🎨 Color Temp Options Are a Nice Touch I didn’t think I’d care about tunable white light, but it’s actually really useful. Warm white feels cozy for evenings, and cool white is great for security or working outside. You can even set it to remember your last setting, which is nice. ⚠️ Minor Things to Know Setup was smooth, but the app pairing took a couple tries. Also, it only works with 2.4GHz WiFi, so if you’re on a mesh system or 5G, you’ll need to switch temporarily. Not a big deal, but worth knowing ahead of time. If you want a smart floodlight that’s bright, customizable, and actually reliable, this one’s a total win. It’s perfect for driveways, garages, yards—anywhere you need serious light and smart control. I’ve already recomended it to my neighbor and he’s ordering one too.
