Super easy to set up. It's quite large and takes up a lot of space but you can really engrave some very large items with it. I probably didn't need anything this size or even this powerful but it's nice to be able to crank up the power and speed to get things done faster in some cases. Using it as as easy or difficult as your software of choice. I went with lightburn and have no regrets there.

Very happy with this purchase, the ease of setup, everything worked first time right out of the box. Helps if you know what you're doing, but OMTech has great (US-based) customer service that actually answers their phone, so you're in good hands IF you need them (I have not yet, but I called with a general question about another laser and they picked right up and had the answer in minutes).

After removing foam dunnage, found the height slide rail was bent and a gouge in the corner of the power unit. Nothing that affected performance but should have better protection. Also the EZCAD software included was 2.12 and the instructions were for 2.0 - some differences in screen shots. Otherwise has been a good machine.
