Very nice trash can! I like the finish and it seems sturdy. I just got it a couple of days ago so I will revisit in a few months if it needs updating for some reason. As an added bonus my cats LOVE the box it arrived in. I was going to take it to the basement and break it down but one of them (I have 2) is parked in it a good bit of the day. Dean, my crazy tuxedo goes nuts in there chasing his tail in there. He has never chased his tail in his life that I know of and I have had them for 9 years. Fun to watch for sure. So I am very happy, I not only got a great new trash can that will help me reorganize my kitchen pantry but also now have new cat entertainment to boot for free. 13 gallon trash bags do not fit this trash can. They are not wide enough to fit over the rim. And trash bags that advertise they are larger than 13 gallons also do not fit. The garbage can itself is great.

We've tried a few other step-on trash cans and the step mechanism has always broken within a few weeks. So far, this one's worked great. We really like that there's a removable insert inside the stainless outer shell...this makes emptying the can and keeping it clean much easier than cans that don't have a removable liner. ... show more

Sturdy, works great, has handles on the inner bin to easily remove the trash without getting your hands too dirty. My only complaint is that the lid doesn't open quite as far as I'd like even when stepping as hard as I can on the pedal. It isn't quite straight up, and still handlgs over the can a bit and makes it a little more difficult than need be to remove the trash. ... show more

Might be an Amazon "Basics", but there is nothing basic about this trash can. I got sick of my old white plastic kitchen trash can and while this was $75, it was well worth it. I love the fact that it has a removable liner so you can clean it out every so often. And the slow close lid... No more squished fingers. 10/10 would recommend. ... show more

It is very nice stylish ease of operation it is narrow a dog could knock it over. But I did not buy it for that I do not have a dog it is very sturdy
