Over all great kit, like most of these kits you have to experiment and figure out the best option for what your working on, I used it to press in lower ball joints on a 06 avalanche worked great!! I have seen a couple reviews saying the clamp part bent.... I can't imagine the force that would be needed to bend this c clamp, it is massive and I used a 1200 ft lb torque air impact with it, no issues great purchase and would buy again 👍 ... show more

very strong tool. heavy. did the job. need muscle to get in place. saved over $600 doing myself from garage price.

Went to use the press and the screw snapped in half. The screw is hollow and extremely weak. I'm giving this product 1 star because it won't allow me to give it 0.

If anyone bends the c clamp you are doing everything wrong!!! If you have a Dana 30/44 you need a extra kit with a slanted press joint.. and to be fair it can be done without that if you’re not a heavy-handed, ridiculous person

I got this to help my son change the ball joints on his 2013 Ram 2500. This kit looks amazing and feels very strong, but then you start to use it and find the faults. We were only doing one side of the truck and the clamp part of the kit made it through removing both upper and lower and was showing a little bent out of shape. We tried to install the new ball joints by putting a little lube on them first but even with that the clamp just got more and more out of shape. We ended up having to give up our struggles and head to the local auto parts store and rent a press from them. Thankfully their kit was much stronger but it took both kits to get it done. The kit from the store didn't have the correct cups as it turned out so that part of the kit is amazing. I don't know if this was a fluke and somehow a weaken clamp made it through production or if the joints were just in there so tight that everything would have bent but what I do know is now the rod that fits through the clamp doesn't even line up with the other side ( as shown in photo ) which makes it useless to me and anyone else. If you have a new vehicle maybe give it a chance as perhaps your joints won't be in as tight but if it is more than a few years old I would keep looking. thanks ... show more

The threaded bolt of the press clamp is NOT HARD ENOUGH. I used it twice and threads are so marred that I can’t use it again. I’d like to know if I can get another bolt. The rest of the set is awesome.
