Just took this to the beach to try it out and it'll appear to work for a few minutes, and then just randomly goes haywire, randomly beeping at different signal volumes, with the different metal type icons flashing randomly. It won't stop. Even if I hold it up in the air. I'll turn it off and restart it but it'll end up doing the same thing. I was able to find some nails, but I'm not sure it would be able to find the smaller, more precious metals. Instruction manual wasn't very helpful. The description for jewelry mode was worded in such a way that it made no sense. ... show more
