I recently ordered this metal detector to help me locate septic tank lids with metal handles. After that small project, I’ve really enjoyed “treasure hunting” and have even managed to find a lot of coins buried in a local park. The 5 detection modes are super helpful, allowing me to filter out or include different types of metals. Since I’m interested in coins and jewelry, I can easily switch to the modes that make finding those items simpler. Its 4.3-inch back-lit screen is easy to read and displays everything I need, from metal types to battery life. Adjusting the stem for different heights is a breeze, and the armrest adds extra comfort for longer hunts. The waterproof coil is perfect for searching on the beach or near streams, though keep in mind the control box isn't waterproof. It even comes with headphones, a shovel, and batteries, so you’re ready to go right out of the box. If you’re looking for a value-priced detector with great features, give this metal detector a try!

This metal detector was very easy to assemble, the large easy-to-read screen is very helpful and the overall design is comfortable to use. The pinpoint feature is great to acquire a precision location once you get a signal. I’ve used other brands in similar price range and highly recommend you consider this model if you interested in getting started with metal detecting. The technical support in contacting OMMO was top-rated. I had a prompt response from my email inquiry and my issue was resolved very quickly.

The stem piece that attaches to the handle wouldn’t go in all the way, and the buckle on the handle was loose and wouldn’t lock. I reached out to the merchant and am waiting for a response. I’ll update this review if/when I get one.

It's a bit flimsy but a great starter unit at a reasonable price. I recommend placing step 3 after step 6 as the tubes only attach in one way. Assemble everything before attaching to the coil. The instructions tell me nothing about the graph reading but that's O.K. It's a low-priced starter unit and seems to work well for locating property pins.

Got this unit because it was not the cheapest and not the costliest. Had decent reviews. It went together easily and "a[appeared" to work until I actually tried it out. I found it very inaccurate and did not alert to known metal items. It seems that even though I was not gonna be a "serious" searcher, this just was not good enough.
