Milwaukee has a variety of heated products. I went with the vest with the thought that I could layer more clothing over top of it and maintain the heat. This method does not dissappoint. I put this on then my hoodie then my carhartt coat and I can go outside at - 50 and can be comfortable no problem. I tried shoveling the driveway at - 26 with this same method and it did not work. Within ten minutes I was stripped down to just the vest. The vest itself isn't all that warm. If I'm wearing it, it's on the highest setting as heated it doesn't get super hot either. Just enough on high to maintain a good temp that keeps the core warm. I wouldn't wear just the vest too much as it's made out of pretty flimsy material that could get caught and ripped very easily. It does look nice and sleek though and is quite comfortable. No restricted movement at all. I haven't had a problem with the battery life or placement. Walking around it's unnoticeable. But when you sit or kneel down you definitely know it's there. I have to reach back and move it to the side so I can sit in my truck. No problem though. You know it's there so you just do what you gotta do to make it comfortable. Like I said before the vest doesn't get all that hot. If you're using it to stay warm in the winter in Texas you probably won't notice it much. I notice it here in Alaska because the temperature difference from the vest and outside ambient temperature is over 100 degrees. Basically the colder it is outside the more useful and noticeable the vest is in my opinion. Personally I mostly wear it when it's below - 20 and I'm doing tedious stuff outside. Definitely recommend to anyone who doesn't like being cold ... show more
