First off, this ceiling fan comments are in order: 1) Engineering appears excellent. Well thought out and all components present. Very nice touch having some of the screws already in the holese - yes, you have to take them out but it saves hunting them down. 2) Assembly (RTFM) was straight forward and easy. 3) Installation with the wire rope hooked up was sweet. gave a lot more room that the other hook hangers, where you hang by a hole in the base. I liked that. 4) Started right up, and is quiet, well balanced, and the remote is nice. Now for operational thoughts - these are important, so read them! 1) I installed it on the light switch for the old ceiling fan. The switch, when turned on, turns the light on. THIS IS A VITAL THING FOR ME, AND WAS NOT EXPLICITLY ARTICULATED ANYWHERE I LOOKED. This was a massive bingo for me. 2) This fan has a feature called 'Breeze'. This ramps the fan up and down over a 3-4 minute span, creating a feeling of a breeze blowing through the window. WOW WOW WOW is that sweet! In summary, I not only would buy another, I have 6 or 7 more ceiling fans to replace, and I will buy these. Best deal I have found. And no, I am not a paid reviewer - I purchased this product for me. I was remodeling a bedroom and wanted to modernize it a bit from the Westinghouse fans I installed when I bought the house in 2008. They had that older school look, but this is a guest bedroom, so spending $200 on a fan that will be used a few times a year doesn't make a lot of sense. I found this fan for a good price and bought two of them for two separate projects. Installation is straight forward. You just need to make sure you pay close attention to the proper orientation of the small connectors from the fan controller to the fan, and from the fan to the light. I'd say the installation was about as easy as a normal drop fan. I'm not going to mislead you by saying this fan feels high quality. It feels adequate, but it's probably 1/3rd the weight of the older fan I took down of the same size. There are no bells and whistles here. WIth that said and considering the price, this is a good buy. It has a large amount of control from the remote, is dead silent, supports dimming and cool/warm adjustment on the light, had more speeds than any other fan I have, and was balanced upon installation. The remote feels like a cheap toy though and this is not a fan I would put in say my living room where it will see a lot of use. I did not set up the app control since that seems overkill for my particular use case. It moves a decent amount of air on higher settings, though it feels less than the older fan did on high. I just hope it holds up. I had the same Westinghouse fan I removed in my master bedroom for about 14 years and it saw a LOT of use, and it was working just as good as the day I took it down as the day I installed it. The media could not be loaded. I cannot believe how many functions this fan comes with and capabilities for the price. I honestly don’t know how they could mark it down so cheap directions weren’t bad and it comes with a video QR code in the directions. Although upon sinking to the app, the directions were really unclear. You don’t need to use the remote. You just turn the power on and within five seconds of the fan power being on you click Bluetooth sync in the app, and the light will flicker a couple times. It wasn’t hard to install just a simple 120 V circuit. one white neutral and one hot wire. There are three connectors in total for wiring, harnesses line. The line voltage comes in and goes to a primary fan speed control board. From there it jumpers down to. The LEDs on the bottom of the fan. Just make sure they’re all tight and I would recommend using electrical tape on the connections just to make sure that I do not come apart during the installation hanging. My only grip is the installation support cable does not firmly attached to the mounting bracket in the ceiling. The fan is only 10 pounds luckily so it wasn’t too hard to put up but this could be an issue for someone. The color is great. I love the gray fan blades, which is what made me choose it to begin with.. the amount of airflow that the five blades set up produces is insane. I do HVAC for a living and it feels as if I’m standing next to a condenser fan motor running on max speed. It is super quiet and the bearings were super smooth. Functionally it is sound. I am really impressed for the price. It fit on my ceiling perfectly.. The base was smaller than my old 1990s hunter fan and I did not have to use the quick mount that I had up there for it as the base of the new fan was too small. I ended up having to use the all thread from my mounting junction box. All in all, I recommend they make changes to the directions, clarifying on how to sync to the app. Also the safety mounting cable should be securely attached to the base. ... show more

Best fan I have ever had. The quality is amazing. All the features it has is unreal. I recommend using the app as well. Do not forget to plug in the cord where the light is at or fan will not turn on. The size is perfect. The lights are godly with different tones and all dimmable. Everything about this fan is adjustable! Remote control is easy and I keep it by my door incase I leave. Do not make the same mistake I did and purchase a dimmable switch.
