Instructions on assembly were a little unclear but overall decent enough to follow. This was my first engraver but not first experience with modeling/stl files. A very new beginner will have absolutely no idea what to do, or what software to use, and the manual lacks in adequate references or help. It took a while even for me to figure out how and what to use, and what adjustments need to be made for proper engraving/cut after a lot of trial and error.

I am very pleased with this purchase. It is a great budget engraver. I haven't used the rotary attachment as I haven't had the need. I use this to cut and engrave veneer for marquetry and it does a great job. It does require some assembly, like 20 minutes. I have owned 3D printers from Creality, but this is my first laser engraver. I am having a lot of fun with this product and would recommend it to anyone that is considering it. If you are going to use it on wood, you will probably want to buy the enclosure, as it can give off smoke. With the enclosure, you can redirect smoke out the window. Also, I got the print bed, because it doesn't come with one. And I purchased the air assist which can help keep it cool to avoid scorching. Fortunately, the addons were pretty affordable. One thing to note that did not immediately occur to me, is that if you find it is not cutting all the way through the wood and you already have it set to 100% power, you can lower the speed setting and it will cut more.

Have been fighting with this thing for 4 days. It refuses to carry out any instruction I give it. Have tried on 2 different computers, both MAC, both in perfect working order. When I send a job to be engraved or cut, it simply tells me that the machine is busy. So it gets my directives but refuses to carry them out. Honestly I'm going to call amazon in a few min and get a return label--I'm sending this thing back! I will say this much for it. It was immaculately packaged and setup was almost blissful. Should have known that it was all too good to be true.

I like the dual power settings, they are used regularly. The laser module air assist light stopped working after a few weeks of light use but it has not bothered the operations.

We got this yesterday so we haven't been able to do a lot with it but, it's so much better than our old laser. The lines are cleaner, the speed is much faster and set up was a breeze. I would recommend this to anyone!
