This is my second laser but my first portable laser. My other laser is an Om Tech 60w CO2. I use it for the cutting of wood and burning larger projects. I love the F1 because it is easy to use and portable. I do a few craft shows a year and it is easy to take with me to personalize items for the customer. It does a great job on slate coasters and on leather projects. On the smaller items it is so much easier to set up than the larger laser. Easy to focus and the framing is very accurate. It has been worth every penny that I paid for it and so far it appear to be durable since it has endured the rigors of the farmers market and craft shows. I would like to have a stronger one but will have to wait for a while due to the additional cost.

I own several xTool lasers and decided to add the F1 to the lineup for my studio work. I have been thoroughly impressed by how well this laser works for my needs. The first big project I tackled on it was a run of customized anodized aluminum cards to create tokens for a game. The level of fidelity in the images it produced- the clean sharp lines for text, and even the incredibly detailed greyscale without using a dithering mode were really incredible and were a huge step up from attempting the same engraving on my D1 Pro while also being about 10 times faster. The framing tools were invaluable for being able to lineup the chipboard jig I made for project, being able to see exactly where the bounds were all at once made it so easy to get everything dialed in. The option to have the framing go to the exact shape of the design has also been very useful for some of the other projects I've run on it. The speed on this machine is crazy fast - it's fast enough that I haven't hesitated to incorporate customized parts into more aspects of my shipping materials like mailer boxes and envelopes as they each finish so quickly it takes so little time to make stuff a little extra cool. The air purifier is also a great addition to this device, it's really great to be able to run the machine on a table behind me in the studio and not have to stress about the smoke. All in all this is a really great device that has helped streamline and speed up a lot of the parts of my business I was using lasers for in general.

Quick and easy set up and learning curve. Lots of on line support and tutorials. I have used it on bricks, slate coasters, wine glasses, tumblers and trophy plaques. Super fast and easy to use. Get the vacuum device if you do wine glasses or wood to prevent false alarms for fire detection.

The media could not be loaded. I always use 3d printers "Creality, Prusa, Anycubic and Bambu Lab, so I ask why getting a engraving laser? The answer is simple open new doors for your Imagination all the Lasers in the market, you can pickup I recommend the Xtool F1 is small fits anywhere, the price and quality you get is so impressive you can believe in your eyes the quality you get is it easy to use and fast. You don't have no headaches and the software is easy to use and learning is the most easy understandable, you can use in the market I never thinking I having so many fun using this laser and depending the settings you use you can engrave in color that's very impressed. I just start using this laser for a couple of weeks. So if you want Engraving, Cut or Craftsman. I recommend this laser. Trust me, you don't going to regret it, in the end, you be surprised what you can do with it, your imagination is the limit in the end is a good Investment. If you don't know how to use it. Trust me in a couple of weeks, you'll be a professional. It's so easy to use and learn You can use your computer or you can use app on your phone to operate it. It said it can engrave any metals but the settings does not include gold plated. The system says it is not available so you have to waste all kinds of products just trying to figure out what works. What works on one item might not work on another item either. Return policy stated we have 30 days to return but when you click to return it after already purchasing it, it says if used then they only give you 50% back if even. It will be based off the condition which in some ways I understand but in others how can you advertise it does all this engraving and cutting when there is no setting for it and a waste of so much materials and money. The return policy should state upfront right away if used in any way or open any bags, you won’t get full refund. When I try to cut wood it makes a fire and shuts off. I wasted so much wood. The filter fills up fast. I have tried this machine for less than a month and it wants me to replace filter already. It cost $109 to get new filter stuff. I read that we can wash it to get more life out of it which I did. Even with the air filter my room still smells like burnt wood. It’s not the easiest to line things up if you need it exactly in the middle for small items like jewelry. And if it is your first time like me using an engraver, to engrave on certain items you will need to buy an expensive spray to coat like glass or stainless steel in order for it to turn out. All the items I purchased this for is not working out and getting half my money back sucks so now I am just going to stick with it and see what I can do out of it to try and make money to pay for it. I am starting to realize now that all the YouTube I watched about the machine before I bought it they all got the machine for free from xtool so they obviously would say it’s amazing. So beware and don’t be like me. It’s not made out to be as amazing as you think it is.

This thing has been great! I've owned it for a few months now and been awesome as a beginner. I've engraved metal, wood, and leather and it does it so easily. So nice to just pick up and go and travel. Easily transportable, I can engrave a small project in under 5 minutes, set up and all!
