I have been using and instructing others to use the xTool F1 since October of 2023. So I’ve had time to thoroughly test it. I’ve also tested xTool’s Customer Service a couple of times because of silly things I did; like losing parts which that happily replaced. The F1 was really easy to learn! I was actually using it within minutes of opening the box. Speaking of the box… WOW! The F1 is incredibly engineered with so many unique features, but the box it comes in is both elegant and solid. I’ve kept the box because it is a thing to behold on its own. You’ll have the same experience as you have if you’ve opened a new Apple Computer or iPhone product. Back to the F1, xTool has incorporated ease of use which works wirelessly with any computer and you don’t have to watch hours of Lightburn Videos to actually make something creative. The F1, and all xTool products seamlessly integrate with the easy to use xTool Creative Space Software. It’s easy to use and it’s FREE! There’s tons of support and an online guide to the settings you’ll need for cuts/engraves/scores. The Creative Space Software also has a portfolio of material settings to help speed up almost any project. The one thing I like so much is the way you can easily create material jigs to batch out projects or customer orders in a snap! Just a couple of clicks on the F1 can quickly produce Pens, Metal Business Cards, Coasters, Key Rings, or just about anything you might want to engrave and on any type of material. You’ll also find that the speed will blow you away. I just batched out 50 Bamboo pens in a few minutes with a simple jig I made to hold them in place. And did the same with Metal Key Rings right after that! I can go on and on with how pleased I am with this purchase.     • It's an addictive machine for beginners

I've been playing around with this ever since it arrived. Was supposed to be a Sunday delivery and it took til Tuesday night with the annoying delays. Happy with the laser. It's my first laser. The software is easy to learn, the material testing is a must for beginners, it is included in the software so don't go spending money on etsy selling material testing files. Just go to the mode you want to do and insert an array and select material testing. This way you figure out the power and speed you should run the machine to engrave or cut or score best on the material you are using. It can cut through thin 1/8th inch plywood at 4 mm/sec and 100% power. I've been cutting shapes out of amazon shipping boxes too. Possibilities are endless and watching the machine do its work is a lot of fun, especially in the score mode, because it does things fast in that mode. Buy one, teach your young ones how to use it and create things. Just one thing, Never leave the machine unattended while its working. Materials can flame up and catch fire if you have the wrong settings. I'm happy with my purchase. Now placed an order for their P2 machine as well. I bought my F1 laser a month ago. I let it sit on the floor so completely overwhelmed, worrying that I may start a fire or something. I can tell you from experience that the F1 has built in safety measures to make sure that doesn't happen. It is also very portable if you are wanting to take it to craft/trade shows. The software is very user friendly. The customer support is good as well. The X-tool community in its own is amazing. So many people out there helping each other with settings or projects, couldn't have asked for a better support system. I became so enthralled with the F1 that I bought the S1, but am still waiting on shipping confirmation with that. The F1 itself is built well and performs well. I would suggest the F1 to anyone looking to buy a laser. ... show more

It said it can engrave any metals but the settings does not include gold plated. The system says it is not available so you have to waste all kinds of products just trying to figure out what works. What works on one item might not work on another item either. Return policy stated we have 30 days to return but when you click to return it after already purchasing it, it says if used then they only give you 50% back if even. It will be based off the condition which in some ways I understand but in others how can you advertise it does all this engraving and cutting when there is no setting for it and a waste of so much materials and money. The return policy should state upfront right away if used in any way or open any bags, you won’t get full refund. When I try to cut wood it makes a fire and shuts off. I wasted so much wood. The filter fills up fast. I have tried this machine for less than a month and it wants me to replace filter already. It cost $109 to get new filter stuff. I read that we can wash it to get more life out of it which I did. Even with the air filter my room still smells like burnt wood. It’s not the easiest to line things up if you need it exactly in the middle for small items like jewelry. And if it is your first time like me using an engraver, to engrave on certain items you will need to buy an expensive spray to coat like glass or stainless steel in order for it to turn out. All the items I purchased this for is not working out and getting half my money back sucks so now I am just going to stick with it and see what I can do out of it to try and make money to pay for it. I am starting to realize now that all the YouTube I watched about the machine before I bought it they all got the machine for free from xtool so they obviously would say it’s amazing. So beware and don’t be like me. It’s not made out to be as amazing as you think it is. ... show more
