This is not a good chair. I've had it for about two weeks, and in that time I've come to dread sitting in it. I now face the unenviable prospect of taking an office chair into a kohl's. At first I thought it was okay. Within days, the simple act of putting the arms up and back down loosened the bolts to such a degree that the arms fell off of the chair. This necessitated taking the chair apart, refastening those bolts, and reassembling the chair. A week later, it's in the same state. Beyond this most basic failing, the chair is simply not comfortable. The two forward chrome pieces of the armrests that are fastened to the sides of the seat dig into the sides of my legs, causing me to sit more legs-together than I otherwise care to. I'm heavy (220ish pounds), so this may be a minority opinion, but was important to me. Lastly, the chair is pitched backward at an odd, uncomfortable angle, and the loose lean function exacerbates this. This means stress on the shoulders and upper back. It's at an angle that would be excellent for theater viewing, but is painful when viewing a monitor directly in front of me. Overall, I wish I had spent my money on a different product. I used a plain wooden chair before this, and that was better. Total junk. ... show more

Overall, the chair is comfortable and I believe to be a great value for the price and it was easy to put together. (They also included extra screws). The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the width between the arms is a bit too wide. It may be because I have the flip up arms but with the arms down, there's actually enough space for my arms to hang, while in a relaxed position, without them touching the armrests. If you're petite, you may want to consider the fixed arms. The other thing is, there's a lot of space between my head and the chair. I purchased a pillow to put on the top of the chair to act as a headrest. Hopefully, that'll serve as a remedy for that. And lastly, although I've only had the chair for 2 days, the covers made to cover the screws are already popping out. ... show more

It is a cheaply made chair with lots of breakable plastic parts. The worst feature is the caster wheels which do not roll at all; rather they just slide or scrape along the floor if you move. The arms do not stay up well when lifted and fall down easily. The black caps to cover the screw holes do not fit and most fell out in a few days. On the upside, it was not an expensive chair. I purchased the one with the flip-up armrest and I suggest that you tighten up the "locking" nuts (13mm) that mount the padded flip-up armrest bar to the armrest mount BEFORE you attempt to attach it to the chair seat and backrest. The problem is those nuts start to come loose (mine were not tightened down enough out of the box) when you raise and lower the armrest a few times making them sloppy & loose. Attaching the armrest to the chair seat and backrest is a PITA and you don't want to have to do it twice like had to. Also, in my opinion they should have used longer bolts to make it easier to attach the armrests. You really have to fight to get them to go in and not strip something.
