    • Exceptional Value
At this price I wasn't expecting much, but needed a second chair for my home office. Needless to say I was quite surprised when I received and assembled the chair that it seems to be nearly as nice as another chair that I paid 4 or 5 times as much money for. The chair feels sturdy, quality made, is aesthetically pleasing and is comfortable to sit in. I particularly like the mesh back that keeps my back cool while providing gentle support and the armrests that flip up out of the way when you don't need them. The chair came cleverly packed in pretty small box. I was almost shocked that there was an entire chair in such a small box. The trick was that the base of the chair was shipped as a central "star" and then 5 metal tubes that make up the legs of the chair that need to be connected. Assembly was pretty easy and took me about 15 minutes. I liked that the chair used hex bolts rather than phillips and included a nice hex "T" wrench. The only difficulty with assembly was the final bolts holding the chair back to second arm rest. After I struggled to get everything connected, I realized that I hadn't properly read the instruction and wasn't supposed to tighten bolts on the arm rest before making that final connection. It would have been easier to connect everything loosely and then tighten separately. My two minor issues with this chair are that the seat cushion, while comfortable now, seems to be made out of a light/medium density foam that I'm concerned for a heavy guy like myself may not stand the test of time. The other minor annoyance is that the lever that locks or unlocks the chairs ability to lean back by pushing the lever in and out (as opposed to up/down that raises/lowers the chair) is quite finicky and difficult to get just right. I've used it several times but still have to fiddle with it every time to get it to engage or disengage properly. It's not a huge issues because I generally don't adjust the seat back that frequently, but on an otherwise well-designed chair, it stands out as something that wasn't designed well. ... show more

    • Super Impressed, Assembled without instructions!
First off I received no instruction booklet or I lost it after I opened the package because I was checking the chair out but didn't have the time to assemble the chair until 5 days later. Why do I mention this? 2 things... 1) It would have been nice to have a PDF file of the instruction on the product page as some other websites do, so I could have just looked at the instructions on the site. 2) With a bit of know how and looking at the finished product on the site, the chair was pretty easy to assemble. ALL the screws were in their own separate packages in the order that you would actually use the screws. This made finding what screw you needed next no matter what the size(s) to install on the chair. I am glad that this was the case as I mentioned it made assembly pretty easy without any instruction. Quality? Very impressed. First the chair is sound/solid. Excellent sturdiness. My 8 year old already playing with the chair as most kids would with a swivel chair do and it looks and stands the same as the day I assembled the chair, perfection. Comfortable? Super comfortable and replaced an older non wheel, non swivel chair. With this chair I can easily adjust the height of both the chair and arm rests as needed to match my desk allowing complete comfort while using my keyboard and mouse reducing my arms and wrist fatigue. Easily pull up closer and push away and otherwise adjust and readjust from my desk for maximum comfort and movement. The tilt back is tension adjustable. I do not use the head rest nor the leg pull out too much but I am glad it is there for those rare occasions that I just need to chill and lean back for a break. The foot/leg rest is also great when kicking back in the chair watching a video/movie. This chair has helped in keeping up in my productivity while at the desk. I do not get body fatigued as I used with my older chair. I didn't realize what a difference a chair can actually make. This is a great buy! ... show more

    • My teenager hasn't complained about it.
I ordered this for my 14-year-old son's room. It was super easy to put together and appears to be sturdy and well-made. I found the chair a bit stiff -- like, it doesn't lean back -- but my son said it was perfectly comfortable to him. Great office chair, I use it everyday at my studio desk and it is very comfortable. I love that it can lay back into a vertical position. It was pretty easy to assemble and only took about 30 minutes of time. I do wish the recline was lockable in any position like some chairs, this one only has 3 set positions it can lock in but that is really my only complaint. I am 300 pounds and have had no issues at all with this chair tipping or feeling like it will break. ... show more
