These rollers are about the same diameter as the standard ones that come on nearly every office chair. However, they are much wider, have a flat profile parallel to the axis (meaning more wheel surface pressing on the floor), and "double-wide" wheels, which means even more wheel surface pressing on the floor and that distributes the weight over a larger area which is good for the floors, mats, and wheels. I've seen a few complaints about the wheels not turning very easily which makes it hard to adjust the precise position of the chair on the floor. They are not wrong - if you're sitting at the desk and want to nudge forward, unless the wheels aren't already in line with the direction you want to move you'll probably get that "slide & rotate" feeling when the wheels rotate on the vertical axis to align their direction of roll to the direction you want. I have an easy solution that at least works for me: If you're at the desk and want to adjust any direction at all, start by rolling your chair backward away from the desk, then begin rolling forward to the position you want. This will give the wheels time to rotate while you're still a bit back from the desk and you should be able to park your seat exactly where you like. These wheels are so nice that I don't mind the unusual reposition method.

We ordered these castors for the chairs that go to our dining room set. We are using the set on carpet with a low nap. The previous castors were a half inch narrower and were hard to push on the carpet. These castors do work better on the carpet just not as smoothly as we hoped. Had they worked a little better we would have given five stars as in every other aspect they work just fine.

These wheels are high quality. They install in seconds and they work extremely well. Hard rubber, high quality. I wish these were made in US but they are made in China.

The polyurethane wheels make for smooth rolling on carpet and hardwood, just as advertised. Bought for my wife’s work chair and have only had them for a month, but as of now they do not squeak or make any noise. I plan to purchase another set to put on my chair soon.

I replaced my wife's casters when the original ones quit turning. Puzzled, I didn't investigate and found these casters. These are nice quality, a dead simple swap with 95% of all office chairs. She uses these on a super heavy solid carpet protector (highly recommended btw!!). When they arrived I jumped on replacing the "bad" ones. I pulled one caster after another, and every single ORIGINAL caster was absolutely loaded with my wife's hair!! Quelle surprise. As I already had these replacements, I just installed them. I should have checked first. Don't be like me, kiddos. These are totally silent. Be warned that these are total fireballs, so HANG ONTO YOUR CHAIR WHEN SITTING DOWN. The wheels leave no tracks or marks.

The casters work well, the only thing is the rods that connect to the chair are a little shorter than my old ones so the hydraulic cylinder dragged on the carpet before I made it work. It’s not a problem with the casters but make sure to check the length on your current casters and see how low your cylinder is to the ground when you shop around for replacements.

No complaints with the product at all, and in retrospect, I suppose it should be obvious, but it never crossed my mind, so I'm sharing with you. If you are used to single wheel setups like me, then you will notice a significant increase in traction when you double the number of wheels. It will take more effort and distance to swivel these wheels so they 're all travelling the same direction. I realize this is a petty complaint, but if you're in a 6x6 seating area behind your desk, then you've only got 3ft you can move in either direction, and will probably lean for half of that, so we're down to 18-24 inches. In my experience, this simply was not enough distance to get all 5 wheels moving the same direction. 4 weeks from the day I placed my order, Is';ve already taken them off and put my old after market single wheels back on :(
