Description

The OEMTOOLS 25105 Ball Joint XL Press is designed for the removal of press- fit ball joints from pick-up trucks. This ball joint puller set will remove ball joints from pick-up truck models, such as the Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Tundra, Dodge Ram 2500-3500, Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet 2500-3500, and Ford F350-F550. Standard C-frame presses are not long enough to hold all of the ball joint press adapters necessary for servicing pick-up trucks. Our ball joint removal tool's C-frame allows for the use of multiple larger adapters that standard C-frame presses won't fit. Constructed with a heavy duty forged steel alloy frame, this ball joint C clamp will stand up to the toughest pressing jobs—ideal for seized joints. This ball joint kit does not include sleeve adapters for pressing out ball joints and should be used in conjunction with the OEMTOOLS 27310, 25104, 27165, 27166, or 27089. Our ball joint press tool kit is the answer for pressing out pick-up truck ball joints, making the job of removing large press-fit ball joints much easier. This ball joint press kit offers the convenience and durability you need to get the job done every time.

    • The press you need if you broke all the others
I’ve a rust belt 1ton with 100k on it and broke 3 other presses trying to get the lower ball joint out. This one didn’t even flex and pushed it right out. Well worth the cost

This press worked with my ball joint attachments from a kit i have. I needed a long reach press to do a job on a truck. This press has 9" of room instead of 6 1/2" on a standard ball joint press. There is a little play with the threads on the press as other people have said in reviews, it still gets the job done just fine. Also, make sure to grease all the threads well before using first time with a good grease. (I used Lucas x-tra heavy duty grease.) I expect this press to hold up for a long time, it did not flex at all pressing in ball joints so far. ... show more

Purchased this heavy duty press to do my Ram 2500 ball joints, and I'm glad I did. I started out attempting to do the job with the press that came with the smaller set (The one with all the collars and cups). It literally cracked the unit rending it unusable, no I wasn't using an impact. Having this heavy duty one saved the day. If your doing 3/4 or 1 tons, or anything severely rusted get the this one (warning, it is heavy). ... show more

Was very happy with purchase. Needed to have this larger press for the ball joints on my 2006 Dodge 3500. The tools you can borrow at AZ or O'RY are too generic to get the job done, and will end up damaging the mounts or the tool itself. Get the OEM master set, and you can work on pretty much any car or truck. I new about OEM tools from their U-Joint press, that held up really well. Glad I have these a try, and now they are part of my garage. ... show more

    • Not the quality I expected from OTC...
I purchased this to augment a generic ball joint press kit that I already own because it came with a shorter jackscrew. This press is pretty stout but as another reviewer has stated, there is a lot of slop in the threads. My much cheaper, generic ball joint press has much tighter tolerances (surprisingly) and thus much less "wiggle room". I ordered one of these and received an email stating that it was late or lost, so I ordered a second one because that often means it is lost. The first one arrived and of course, it had sloppy threads - the second one arrived damaged, had sloppy threads and was missing the shorter jackscrew. Both had rust inside the screw where the pivot bearing sits and the poor tolerances are just not what I expected from the higher quality (and higher price) I usually associate with the OTC brand name. ... show more
