The closed end of the clamp and the inside end of the forcing bolt both contain magnets that hold the ends in place while pressing the bearing cups into the U joint. You can also save time on the bearing install process by installing 2 bearing cups at once without risking damage to the bearing or drive shaft. Additionally, this U joint installer tool allows this essential drive shaft job to be completed without the need for a benchtop press or other expensive equipment. Instead, you can press bearing cups using this drive shaft tool and a 1/2 inch drive or smaller impact wrench. This tool will not do F250 ujointd whole way in the tool bent
Used this tool to put in ujoints on drive axle on F250 truck and can't put ujoints in whole the tool bent ened up using a press to finish them

Disappointing
When pressing u-joints, this tool can only press two opposing caps towards each other, and cannot press them into the yoke ears once the u-joint caps have bottomed out on the trunnion cross. A vice does the exact same thing more easily, but shares the same shortcoming. This press lacks a recess for the opposing u-joint cap and is just a stout C-clamp, nothing more. ... show more

Use this regularly to replace PTO shaft u joints on concrete mixers. Does the job very well and is about half the price of the Tiger Tool version.
