The closed end of the clamp and the inside end of the forcing bolt both contain magnets that hold the ends in place while pressing the bearing cups into the U joint. You can also save time on the bearing install process by installing 2 bearing cups at once without risking damage to the bearing or drive shaft. Additionally, this U joint installer tool allows this essential drive shaft job to be completed without the need for a benchtop press or other expensive equipment. Instead, you can press bearing cups using this drive shaft tool and a 1/2 inch drive or smaller impact wrench.
