The running boards are well designed and has the heavy duty black crackle paint finish. The paint looks to be very durable. The only drawback to the installation of the boards were the brackets. The brackets weren’t marked left side and right side. So I had to remove the brackets and put them on the correct side(s). If the brackets were marked the installation would’ve went a lot smoother and faster.

Toyota wanted to charge me $700 plus $300 in labor for their running boards. I was hesitant to purchase these but after reading the reviews and YouTube videos on how to install, which looked straight forward and not complicated. I said to myself challenge accept! Disclosure I am a female so if I can do anyone can. I installed them all by myself and my truck looks “Bad Ass”! I have a 2023 Tacoma and they fit perfectly! Adios rock rails and hello to my new running boards!!

I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The product was packed well, organized, everything was clearly marked and accounted for, no loose parts. Each side step is wrapped in thick foam and clearly marked driver or passenger side. There's are 6 total brackets marked driver or passenger and either front, center, or back. Once you get everything sorted out by side, it's about a 40 min install, 24 bolts total. They look great and I love being able to access my roof anywhere on the side steps.

I bought this based on the review I see and the website says it is compatible with my 3rd gen 2018 Tacoma double-cab. Unfortunately, when I start to install the running board, i discover the larger M10 flat washer doesn't fit the larger screw. The hole is the same size as the smaller flat washer, but there are two different sizes of the screw for different mounting point. No matter, I went to home depot and got a box of washer that works, and then I learned that i received two IDENTICAL running board, so one side doesn't fit because the mounting point on my Tacoma is not fully symmetrical in the middle. So it will work on the passenger side, but won't on the driver side. I was lucky that I started on the driver side and found out this problem early; had I started on the passenger side, i would have found out later and have to unscrew everything back. Maybe I was unlucky, but this is very annoying and fustrating due to the size of this package and I have to put everything back in place for the Amazon driver to pick it up. Won't buy from this brand again.
