  • WOW!!JUST WOW!!
First, do not destroy the box the chair comes in. It makes for a handy table, and makes it possible to assemble chair by oneself. Second, there is a minute &10 second video, by ODINLAKE, showing the easy steps to assemble chair, using the shipping box as a table. That’s out of the way, the chair is easy enough for someone like me to assemble. I keep a battery charged screw gun so once l got the screws started in required positions, l pressed the trigger and tighten. The seat and seat plate assembly l left hand snugged. Once l attached the seat plate to the back rest, l tighten the screws on the seat to the seat plate. The chair itself is fantastic! I have a little recording studio, in a spare room, with a chair l have been using for over a decade. It’s not too bad, but the cylinder keeps going down after a day or so, depending on the usage. The Odinlake chair hits all the required check marks for me. Sure, their is no control over the lumbar position, but it flex and bends according to where you have your seat cushioned adjusted by sliding into or away from the backrest. That works find for me. The hand rest adjust to the right height of my mixing desk, and swivels for a more comfortable fit. The hand rest are sturdy; not solid plastic, but a little cushioning for the hands or wrist. I’ve ordered arm rest cushions that slide on. The back is meshed, like my old chair. The seat is a cushion, which l prefer over mesh, again, like my old chair. The head rest works great for me, better than my old chair!! The rock’n’rollin’ back and and forth is great. 135 degree tilt back with extended leg rest, is da bomb!!! After a mix, l’ll stretch out and play the track. The leg rest is solid plastic but it swivels back and forth for comfort. This chair is great for my 5’10” 260lb frame. I am writing this review on, my iPad, from my Odinlake chair. And here comes that feels’ of “Wow! Just wow!!” ... show more

  • Broke in 18 months (Update!)
The base broke in only 18 months, making the chair entirely unusable. Unbelievably bad chair for what it cost. Update: requested a replacement base under warranty and they quickly shipped it to me. Amazing service and the replacement seems to be working well.

  • Easy to build, Very comfortable!
We purchased this chair for office use. Fairly adjustable, very comfortable, and works well with our desks (both sit down & standup desks we have.) The seat can go pretty low, I would say it doesn't go as high as other chairs. No flaws in the assembly, and packaging protection seemed to keep everything safe during shipping. Sleek look, and we love the mesh back! Would order again, would love to see it in more color options for those who have unique office colors. Love the adjustability, keeps on par with our other high-end options we purchased in the past, but the OdinLake chairs are far more affordable for the same quality. 9/10 for price and comfort value ... show more

  • I guess I just had bad luck when purchasing this chair.
I guess I just had bad luck when purchasing this chair. Unfortunately, I actually sent the chair back because it wasn't very comfortable. The actual seat itself looks like it has a very thick seat but it doesn't! The seat isn't thick I could feel the bottom below the cushioning like I was sitting on a hard seat after about an hour sitting on it. The seat by itself is heavy but the cushioning on it seems really thin. By the way like someone else mentioned keep the box because yes you can assemble the chair using the box which I did. Even with my legs extended out on the extension that comes out from the front of the chair I still wasn't super comfortable. I wish there was a pad on the leg extension because after using that for about 20 minutes it kind of gets uncomfortable. The only thing I liked about the chair was the back rest which was comfortable. The Headrest while you can adjust it is a bit tough I mean it isn't bad but it isn't amazing. The Set-Up for me was pretty tough! The reason for this is the fact that the Thread Holes for the screws in the bottom of the chair were nowhere near being lined up. I had to use a long steel rod to try to align it with the hole so I could then use the screw on it. I wish I took a picture of it but I figured I'll just deal with it and omg it took me an hour just to get the damn thing aligned with the hole :( It was really annoying because most of the screw holes for the screws weren't even showing up at the bottom of the holes for me to put the screws into. I had to force the right arm to screw in properly because all of the screw hols were nowhere near being lined up with the design of the armrest! Another thing was that the top of the chair had scratches on it and so did the base of the chair, maybe scratches but it definitely had something going on with the base of the chair! I did take a few pictures but I can't really recommend buying this chair. But if you do decide to buy it you might wanna pay for someone else to put it together for you! Because the Screw Holes aren't lined up with for the screw to go into it is a freaking nightmare to put together! I should have taken pictures of all the damn holes on this chair just to show how badly the thread holes were lined up at the bottom of each hole for the screws! But I figured I wouldn't need to because I was going to keep the chair. But I ended up having to return it. Oh by the way did I mention how bad it was for me to return this chair... well I'VE ATTEMPTED TO SEND IT BACK! I called Amazon to return the chair and get a label printed for the box. I was going to bring it to a UPS store but then someone at work said why not just ship it from work and I was like ok why not. I spoke with an Amazon rep again and they said it was fine, they told me that A SPECIAL LABEL WILL BE PRINTED, and to just put the label on the outside of the box and you'll be all set! Then a day later the chair is back at my home. I get back on the phone with Amazon and they can't figure out what went wrong but they assured me that the new label would work... I just hope that this time it doesn't come back for a third time ... show more

  • Exceeded all my expectations
Hard to beat this chair at this price point. If you're looking to upgrade your office/PC setup but don't want to shell out $1,000+, definitely look into whether this chair would be a good fit for you. It's easy to assemble, incredibly comfortable for long sitting sessions, and customizable enough to fit a variety of seating preferences. Only possible con: the headrest may be a little too low for taller individuals. At 6'2", the headrest maxed out at an uncomfortable spot right around my upper back/lower neck area, so I just detached it to alleviate the issue. ... show more
