  • Must-Have Tool for Any Ford Owner
The OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter works flawlessly. I’ve had zero issues with it—just plug it in, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to without needing to mess with high or low settings. It handles everything automatically, which makes it super convenient. It’s also very simple to use, even if you’re not a tech expert. The build quality feels solid and professional—definitely not cheap or flimsy like some of the other OBD tools out there. If you own a Ford and want to run diagnostics, program modules, or just dig into your vehicle’s systems with FORScan, this adapter is a must-have. It’s one of the most reliable and user-friendly tools I’ve used, and it’s worth every penny. ... show more

  • Gold standard
OBDLink EX FORScan – The Gold Standard for Ford Diagnostics. As anyone who owns a Ford, Lincoln, or Mazda vehicle knows, having the right diagnostic tool can save you a fortune in dealership fees and countless hours of frustration. After hearing many recommendations, I finally invested in the OBDLink EX specifically for use with FORScan software, and I can confidently say it's been an absolute game-changer. Performance: Exactly What It Promised (and More!) This device delivered exactly what it was designed for. The connection with FORScan was rock-solid and instantaneous. There were no frustrating connection drops, no lag in data streaming, and no compatibility issues whatsoever. The speed at which it communicated with my vehicle's modules was impressive, allowing for real-time monitoring and quick diagnostics. I was able to diagnose and link with my computer no problem, accessing various modules, reading codes, and viewing live data with ease. This level of seamless integration and reliable performance is precisely what you need from a diagnostic tool, and the OBDLink EX provides it in spades. Value & Experience: Top-Tier All Around Beyond its exceptional performance, the overall experience with this product was fantastic. The price was very good, especially considering the professional-grade capabilities it unlocks when paired with FORScan. It's an investment that pays for itself many times over by enabling DIY diagnostics and even programming functions that would otherwise require expensive dealership visits. Adding to the positive experience was the fast shipping. The product arrived quickly and well-packaged, ready to use right out of the box. This efficiency always enhances customer satisfaction. No Complaints Whatsoever – A True Five-Star Product! Honestly, I have no complaints at all about the OBDLink EX. From its robust build quality to its flawless connection, excellent value, and rapid delivery, it hits every mark. It performs exactly as advertised, making complex vehicle diagnostics accessible and straightforward for the average user. • Works great for ForScan and AlfaOBD
I am a professional automotive technician with 24 years of experience. I specialize in diagnostics. This item works great! I purchased this to use with my Android car stereo to have additional gauges using ForScan. It works well for that. I have never had an issue with battery drain over 4 years of use. The vehicle it's installed in gets used infrequently too, so the battery saver feature definitely works. I love having real time live data on the dash, from all modules. The first unit I ordered never arrived. Amazon took care of that. The one that did arrive worked great. I installed it under my dash with an OBD2 splitter cable, then plugged the USB into the stereo. For the last several months, connection has been spotty. If eventually stopped connecting altogether. I finally pulled it out today to see if this interface or the stereo were the culprit. The power light stays off on the OBDLink, even after disconnecting and reconnecting it. Sadly ot has died, just outside of the generous 3 year warranty. 4 stars for the death right outside of warranty. However, I'm here buying another. 9/15/25 Update This item has been revised since my 2021 purchase. It still works well. The powersaving feature when not in use still works as well. There is 1 caveat to my particular setup though. (ATOTO A6 performance running ForScan.) The first OBDLink wouldpower up and work fine from a sleep state. Occasionally, it would take a couple tries, but would work. This revision makes me disconnect both ends of the device, then reconnect it. Otherwise I can not get it to work and the LED is red. This is not convenient for a setup installed under the dash on a splitter cable. My workaround was to rewire the leg of the splitter cable to have IGN+ on pin 16, rather than B+. Benefits with this setup are that there is no doubt that your battery will not be drained by this unit. It also seems to connect to ForScan more reliably on startup. By using the splitter cable, the OBD port for diagnostic tools to connect to is unaffected by this change. Downside is that this adds an additional later of difficulty to an install like mine. Overall, if you're using this device in a setup like this, then this modification is probably trivial to you. I still recommend the device, and will likely put one in any OBD2 equipped Ford I own. ... show more

OBDlink for FORscan.. got this to disable the auto start/stall on my Bronco sport.. also changed the rear door speakers from "tweeters only" to "woofer and tweeter", now I FINALLY have Bass coming out of my upgraded speakers.. also disabled the double honk when exiting with the keys.. Its a plug and play cable with the OBD port and a windows laptop, just sign up for a free trial of FORscan and watch a few YouTube videos, pretty easy. ... show more
