If you're asking yourself if buying this would be worth it, it is. I have an abs light on an 03 gmc and an 06 lincoln, which caused the traction control to malfunction on the lincoln. Buying this saved me the time of finding out exactly which wheel speed sensor was bad on both of them without having to sweat my a** off on this heat pulling off every wheel. That alone was worth it to me. Looks like it's compatible with most car makes or at least the most common ones in the states. Has normal engine diagnostic as well as abs, srs, transmission and battery testing. It's very simple to navigate if you have basic knowledge of scan tools and seems to be a well built unit. It takes a little while longer than the cheap scan tools you get at walmart, but worth the extra money. I'll get a ton of use out of this. ... show more

The scanner would not access the ABS OR SRS systems on my 2011 Jeep. The upgrade software would not open on my computer. The support group continuously emailed on things to try and finally opened. After the upgrade, unit worked perfectly.

I absolutely love this diagnostic tester I was able to diagnose my own car. It’s very easy to use self-explanatory you can remove codes from your vehicle with this tester. Unit did not work 100% out-of-box even after using OBDMATE web-site to update software. OBDMATE Support did work with me and provided a non-released update file which addressed several of my issues. Big Picture: OBDII Function worked fine out-of-box. This Function provides generic Vehicle Code Data. The 'Diagnose' Function did not work until the non-released file was provided. Diagnose uses data lookup files that were 5-years out of date and no compatible with my '25 GMC Canyon. The Diagnose Function when working provides language based selections of vehicle Control Module Data. While OBDII only provides Control Module numbers so it is not clear which one to select for engine, brakes, etc module. If the OBDMATE wed-site Software Update files were current I would give this unit a 4 rating. Not 5 as the OM901 user interface is a bit confusing and the User Manual not very helpful. ... show more
