This OBD2 Scanner is very easy to use and fairly quick compared to my other scanners. I really like how it comes with the sleeve protector and a case as well. This is a huge plus. I’ve used this heavily for real time monitoring on one of my vehicles. I’ve only had one issue, some of the pins were bent on the connector so I thought I had a faulty scanner but noticed that it wouldn’t power up because of the bent pins that wouldn’t go in all the way. Otherwise, this has been a fantastic scanner to use and monitor real time data.

The manufacturer's website has information on how to update the program data. I downloaded the file after finding the right download page, but I was unable to follow the instructions because there was no executable file to perform the upgrade. But I concluded that there was no need to upgrade the unit. The OBDII connection is used to supply power. It offers customizable F1 and F2 keys, but in my situation, I did not think I needed them. A list of what is available for that function key is displayed when either key is pressed. More than simply OBDII specs are supported by the scanner; you may choose your car model and it will get the diagnostics that are accessible for that model. The scan tool itself has a rubber protective sleeve around it, and it comes in a beautiful hard side case. The screen may be adjusted between day and night modes, and it is easy to read. I appreciate that the wire is long enough to allow you to sit comfortably in the seat while it is plugged in. Additionally, it will display data in real time, including engine temperature. That feature is great. Having to go back through every panel in order to exit the feature you are using is the one thing I dislike. Although I have not discovered it yet, there most likely is a way to simply go back to the main screen. I have not explored the options, but I know that two of the buttons may be programmed by the user. Details on how to update the program data can be found on the manufacturer's website. After locating the correct download URL, I downloaded the file; however, the lack of an executable file to carry out the upgrade prevented me from following the instructions. However, I came to the conclusion that the device did not require an upgrade. The power is supplied via the OBDII connection. It has configurable options, but I did not think I needed them in my case. Pressing either key brings up a list of what is available for that function key. The scanner supports more than just OBDII specifications; you may select the model of your automobile and it will get the diagnostics available for that model. The scan tool itself comes in a lovely hard side case and is wrapped in a rubber protection cover. The screen is easy to read and can be switched between day and night settings. I like that you can sit comfortably in the seat while the wire is plugged in because it is long enough. It will also show data in real time, such as engine temperature. It is a fantastic feature. The one thing I do not like is having to go back through each panel to get out of the feature you are using. There probably is a way to just return to the main screen, but I have not found it yet. I have not looked into the possibilities.

After using the ~$30 varieties of cheapy ODB2 scanners, this one feels like a serious tool. Makes a thoughtful kit with the case and usb cord. The fact that you can charge and update it via USB-C is amazing in itself. Screen is bright and readable, and it had no problem reading data on my Super Duty. A great value.
