The TOPDON artidiag600s does everything they say it can do. I bought it for a 2014 Jeep Compass. Works as expected. Only thing I don't like is the fact that when hooked up to the vehicle the battery voltage seems to be ~ a volt to high. Still a useful measuring device if inspecting voltage surges/drops. Update did take a little bit longer than anticipated even with lightening fast wifi. But when I hooked it up to the vehicle it was fairly quick when it comes to loading. It only works with 2.4ghz wifi or hotspot for certain functions. You need wifi if you want to use autovin function or to send a vehicle report via email. You can also send reports via Bluetooth though. Overall it was easy to set up as well as easy to diagnose the issues. It has a good battery internally, charges off the vehicle but also can be charged with a 12v 2a USB C. When doing the update speed was 1.8mb/s took about 30 min to download/install about 50 apk's. Would suggest to any diyer or semi professional! Great Product!! ... show more

    • Great diagnostics tool for the price!
I was a little skeptical to buy this scanner but I’m very happy that I did. From the testimonies read in the reviews I was worried about two issues: - The fact that it could come as a used one in the box - It would have to be connected to the internet to use it. Once I placed the order, however, Topdon actually reached out with a message regarding both of those scenarios and how to handle them. That was a nice surprise. My first time using the scanner, it did require internet to use the diagnostic features. Once I connected to wifi, I did a software update (Topdon’s recommendation) and it worked perfectly. Since then, I have used it on a few different vehicles. There have been no other issues since the update! Pros: - User friendly very easy to use - Bright and clear display - Charges itself while plugged in to OBDII - Many features for the price Cons: - Takes a while to turn on - My screen protector has bubbles in it Overall, this is a great tool. It has many great features and is very easy to use. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the market for a diagnostic scan tool. ... show more

I purchased this item may 31 2023 charged and updated all files. I used once worked like a charm now this morning i did some updating online battery was down to 80% so i turned it off and plugged it into charge and will not turn on all i have is a white screen that says topdon that blinks on and off every minute or so. It says 90 day free replacement but Amazon says can not be returned. Have not been able to get ahold of customer service i think this is a decent scanner i may have got a lemon. UPDATE i was able to get ahold of topdon customer service and a new unit is being sent out it was a painless process. I could have done a refund but this scanner has a fair amount of bang for the buck. Was wanting a second unit around the shop. ... show more

Ease of connectivity, fast performance, ease of use. For years I searched for a mid-range do it all scanner. Happy to say I found it. Free lifetime updates 8 maintenance level services and data streams, auto-vin and more. You can't ask for anything more as a DIYer

The TOPDON AD600S Scan Tool scanner does everything it says it can do. Overall quality is great. As also are the other TopDon products I've gotten. Feels very comfortable to hold. Doesn't have that cheap feel to it. Updates are quick and free! You have to be connected to WiFi in order to use the automatic Vin scan or else you have to input it manually. It's very good for DIY'ers like myself, shade tree mechanics and doesn't have any huge learning curves. Great health scan feature to quickly diagnose problems. It also helps you to connect to the internet to help with fixing the problem. I would definitely recommend it for DIY and Shop. Way out performs my other scanners that were higher priced ... show more

    • Doesn’t do what it says it can
I bought this because my old scanner doesn’t do abs and I have an 03 Silverado with an abs light. I updated the unit and hooked it to the truck and it says I don’t have abs?! Wtf! I emailed the company for tech support and they said try it as a gm truck which I already have and they ghosted me after that. This product sucks! It’s slow and doesn’t do what it says it’s supposed to. Buy something else ... show more
