I was able to do the crankshaft relearn on my 2001 Corvette with this, which is the main reason I bought it, but it doesn't seem to do most of the other fun features like live data or data logging or controlling various modules for testing. I thought maybe it needed an update, but I hooked it up, and it appears to be the newest version of everything. Edit: Maybe it didn't like me plugging it in while running. I plugged it in with the engine off, but key on Run, and was able to log stuff.

The most amazing product. Truly professional and yes you should get is one tailored to your brand of car. For Quick start here is short summary: The arrows work to move between menu choices. "Y" is enter key to invoke the menu or choice. "N" is exit. Start with Key on without starting the engine. Play around and you are all set, you will learn more about your car than ever. In my case I cleared all old codes, it seems that repairs were done but codes were not cleared by the shops. You can go back and check again later, and if they reappear means that repairs are needed.

The transmission shop could not reprogram/relearn the Transfer case shift motor I replaced on my 2009 Silverado 2500 but this thing did. could not have fixed my 4x4 issue without it. Also had a fuel pressure rail issue and with the info from this tool I was able to figure out it was the fuel pressure regulator on my fuel pump that was the issue. Truck is running great now.

Purchased the SC530 OBDII scanner after reviewing other scanners. Liked that this model as Brand specific at a good price with numerous functions. The tech support answered all my questions in a timely manner prior to my purchase. Purchased the GM brand model to support two (2) vehicles, 2013 GMC Yukon and 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD. The scanner came on time with all the contents. The scanner was able to be used out of the box and both the scanner menu and the manual were user friendly. Used the scanner on the Yukon to run diagnostics easily and identify and clear some codes. Liked that the scanner can read the VIN of the vehicle directly and can check many systems on the vehicle. Also liked that can add another brand to the scanner for additional vehicles. Good purchase for DIY mechanic and would recommend product to others.

I had evap issues and the notorious transfer case motor issue on my 2006 Chevy trailblazer. I was throwing parts at it based on what people were saying online. I then purchased this awesome scanner and was able to get an answer in 5 minutes. It allows you to command certain modules and I could engage the transfer case motor but the motor was budging. Ordered a new motor and 4wd is working again. Really awesome how much data this device shows. A must have if you are a DIY person.

My 2017 Chevy Colorado started throwing an intermittent ABS fault. My normal mechanic's OBD reader couldn't read out the code. He suggested going to a national auto parts dealer to get them to read out the code. Their OBD loaner reader didn't help either. I headed to Amazon to find a device that could read the codes and after looking at several options and reading many reviews, I decided to buy this one. It arrived quickly and after reviewing the device's operations with the support team, I was able to learn what code was being thrown. The attached photos are of some of the steps taken to read out the code. This product did what it said it would do!

Bought this to scan a 2017 Buick HVAC. AC not working, compressor clutch not coming on. Bought a downloadable Buick shop manual online for 30 dollars. Manual was fine (not factory manual). I believe Buick factory shop manual is $650.00. Went through schematics and troubleshooting and jumped the compressor clutch relay at the fuse box and it would engage with the engine off, but not when the car was running. I'm not a mechanic, but have been working on cars for 45 years. Not to long ago, when the AC was low on 134a, you could stick a paper clip in the low pressure switch, engage the clutch and charge the system. There's no less than about 8 sensors in 2017 Buick/GMC, not counting blend doors. About 6 of them will stop the AC clutch from engaging. Ambient air temp, condenser temp, Static pressure, low voltage to clutch ,etc. This scanner reads all these sensors and temps and pressures. I was able to clear a low compressor clutch voltage code and, with the scanner, command the compressor clutch and blower on. The clutch kicked on and with the gauges on the car, was able to add a can of 134a to low side 35 psi. AC like new. I don't know the difference between a 900 scanner and this, but for the price, this scanner is a no brainer. I can't speak to functions on older GM cars, but I did play around with it and this scanner read every function available on my Buick. The Buick is loaded, and just to name a few, reads collision radar, blind spot, HVAC, abs, parking assist, body, engine, headlights. I took a chance when I bought this not knowing what to expect. You cannot work on late model cars without a scanner like this and I could not be happier with the purchase. I highly recommend this to anyone with a late model GM product. It does it all.
