This scanner is surprisingly bright, I wasn't expecting it to be super bright during the day considering it's price point. Besides that, it does what any scanner is meant to do and then some. I have an audi and if you know German cars, they tend to light up like Christmas trees with their codes and other electronics. Currently I've been having an overcharge issue and it makes my car run into limp mode, I constantly had to use my WIFI OBD-ii scanner which is not only a bit more work to use, it was annoying too. With this however, I just plug and erase the code. It's simple to use and has all the basic features you'd expect and then some more, it's better than the $15 dollar ones that only let you read codes. This OBD reader works great! Found 3 problem codes on my car easily and quickly. I was also happy to see that it comes with a freeze frame feature and live graphing for a few different things, like engine RPM. I used to use a Bluetooth OBD reader, but this seems much better, as there's no input lag, and no phone is required. Overall, a great product that I'll be using regularly. ... show more

I got this to read the check engine light on my car (2008 Honda Fit) and see if it was something I could fix on my on my own. It pulled the code, and seems to work perfectly for that. It's well-made, and the screen is bright and easy to use. On the downside, this did NOT read the ABS code (I have a faulty sensor) so for more advanced issues like brake codes, etc. this probably isn't a good choice. For basic CEL codes though, this does the job at $25! ... show more

Although this unit is not as advanced or sophisticated as others available it delivers. It is solidly built and plugs right in where it's supposed to. It's greatest aspect is the price for function. Feels sturdy and nice display that’s very easy to read, even in the bright outdoors. I’ve had other readers that you couldn’t read the display of when outdoors, but this very legible — important if you can’t do car work indoors in garage and have to resort to doing things outdoors.
