I use the Android app, Obd Arny. The sensor connects perfectly to my phone and the app gives me live data and CEL codes flawlessly. I recommend getting the Bluetooth version instead of the wifi version because if you use the wifi version, you aren't also connected to the internet, so you can't get info on the codes until you disconnect your phone from the sensor.

I plus in the unit and fire up the app. After three tries, it connects to my Bluetooth. But then I get a box "Detecting Protocol" that will not go away. I go to put in my car information and get a year box, and a vehicle box. Do you think they can list the cars in alphabetical order? No. I'm scrolling all over the list and I see "Great Wall", and "Clown". The Devs thought that was funny I guess? How about making it easier for a user? I finally get through this and hit scan and all I get is "Loading" that never goes away. So I put in my VIN number in the vehicle identification section, but it locks up. In fact nearly everything I do, it locks up. Plus I don't see a way to save the vehicle information in the settings! This is junk and it's infuriating to work with. I normally wouldn't care about $16, but I'm pissed off now and I'm going to make them take a return.

For a budget car scanner, this thing is my go-to. It's saved me a ton of money and stress. It's super portable, connects to your phone very quickly and allows a wide range of codes to be read and understood.

I didn't need this item right at the moment of shipping so past my 30 day return window. Device powers on and can be seen on Bluetooth items, however cannot connect to it from multiple devices, neither pin 1234 or 0000 is working. No way to get in touch with the seller EDIT: Leaving the review for others to find. I found if you have had a previous one connected to your phone, you had to go back to your connected list and delete completely from the phone. Only then will this connect.

I went to pair my Android Galaxy S10+ phone with the OBDII device, and after plugging the device into my car, power light comes on, but it did not show up as a device to pair with in my Bluetooth settings. I would go to the app settings, and the device would show up, but I could not connect to it (because it wasn't shown as a paired device on my Bluetooth list). After digging in, I found an obscure setting called "Enable BLE devices without names". This is in the "Developer options" on an Android phone. The "Developer Options" setting option is hidden by default. To unhide the "Developer options" selection, you need to go into the "About phone->Software information" settings and tap the Build number 7 times. I know... confusing and weird, but once I did all this I was able to see the device to pair (code: 1234) and it works. Another 30 minutes of life never to get back thanks to poor software practices.
