I ordered this fan to install in my newly remodeled home office. It is great! I ordered this specific model because of the included wall mount remote. I wanted something I could install near the entry door to act as the controller and that also looked nice. Other wall mount remotes look pretty horrible. This one, on the other hand, looks great and has everything I need right there. The design is perfect in that the light on/off button is the largest button and easy to touch (this is a touch sensitive remote- not physical push buttons). It also has a second remote that I keep at my desk so I can adjust the fan speed, etc without needing to get up and use the wall remote. The blades of the fan are real wood like they say- but they are not hardwood. They appear to be balsa wood that is stained. Which is totally fine and not an issue. Solid hardwood, like walnut, would be far too heavy to use as a ceiling fan blade anyway. I'm just glad these aren't plastic painted to look like wood (which is what I have with a different brand fan in another room). This fan is absolutely silent. It does move a lot of air- I keep it on the lowest setting so it doesn't blow the papers off my desk. The light has three temperature settings. The default, the whitest, is too harsh for me as it feels more like a medical office. I keep mine on the warmest setting. You can program the fan to default to whichever light setting you prefer- although the instructions don't really say how to do that. The wall remote has a small display which shows the temperature of the room, but it is in Celsius and cannot be changed to Farenheit (I asked the manufacturer about it and they responded very quickly to my email). Not a big deal, just would be nice to have it in Farenheit. This fan looks great and complements my caribbean feel/theme of my new office perfectly. Very happy with this purchase! As far as the install- I took off one single star for a simple reason. The included bracket doesn't include screws or washers so that you can mount it to a typical metal ceiling box (like you would have here in the United States). It does work, but you will need to provide your own screws as well as a couple fender washers so the screws won't slip through the large holes in the bracket. Easy to install. Good airflow. Remote has too many features for what the lightless fan offers. If your remote dies, I agree you will have to replace the entire unit if the seller has moved on to other things. Blades may be walnut stained, but they are certainly not made of walnut or any kind of hard wood. Seller responded to me regarding how to sync or pair one remote to two or multiple fans or units. I have two fans and needed to sync them both to one remote. This is what they sent, and it is easy to do: Dear buyer Method: Please disconnect your home power supply, and then gather all the ceiling fans together (all ceiling fans are in a power-off state), then hold a remote control, keep pressing the "ALL OFF" red button (don't let go), and then Turn on the power until the ceiling fan makes a "beep" sound, then one remote control can control multiple ceiling fans You try it first, if not successful, please do not continue to try, it will damage the controller If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me Sincerely Nancy ... show more

I bought 2 of these fans to replace a couple of quite old ceiling fans in my family room. They look great and operate very nicely. Very quite and move a lot of air. Seemed to be perfectly balanced since there is no wobbling of the units even on high speed. The lights put out a lot of light and can really light up a room. I wish there was a way to dim these way down but there doesn't seem to be. I really like the "natural breeze" setting of the fan. This ramps the fan speed up and down so it isn't a constant wind blowing down on you and more of a natural breeze. I had an issue and contacted customer service. They responded quickly to resolve my issue. Nancy did a very good job helping me. The documentation (manual) is pretty worthless. Their translation from Chinese to English didn't go well at all. I found just assembling the fan by looking at the picture in the manual was the most straight forward. Assemble the entire unit on the floor or on a table and then hang it from the ceiling bracket. The fan isn't very heavy and easy to lift. After installing these fans they would randomly turn on even though I didn't command them. I contacted customer service and they said this was a "burglar alarm" feature. They tried to tell me how to turn this feature off but it didn't make any sense. I tried many, many combinations of remote button presses in conjunction with cycling the power. Nothing worked. Finally I tried turing the fan on using the "natural breeze" button on the remote and then after several minutes turned the fan off using the "all off" button on the remote. This seemed to do the trick! No more random turning on of the fan!!! ... show more
