    • It will look like black face before you wash it.
The spray tan machine is amazing. I had my boyfriend spray tan me, and he had no experience. The spray tan came on evenly, and it now looks good. Now, before you wash it it looks embarrassing. I was embarrassed to go out in public while it was setting. It didn’t look right… Don’t, let this fool you though! Once you wash the tan, it comes out beautifully! I would recommend you do the spray tan on a day where you’ll be home, is all. ... show more

    • It’s DARK but don’t be scared!
For context: I am VERY fair skinned, like my parents are actually from Denmark fair skinned. When the bronzer goes on, it does appear too dark compared to my actual complexion and I’ll admit, I was SURE I was making a mistake. I’m happy to say I was wrong! I’ve never let the tan set the full 24 hours, typically spraying in the evening & then showering the next morning, so about 12 hours. That said, most of the very dark bronzer washes off in the shower, leaving you with a really natural bronze that lasts ~5-7 days. Learning to use the machine can be challenging, but after the second go it was a lot easier. If you add too much, just keep a dark towel nearby & pat off the excess. I’ve not had any issues with weird texture / spotting by doing this. Find a friend / spouse / roommate who’s up to learn and it’s a breeze. Like most fake tans, I find that by day 3 it’s mostly washed off my hands/feet/face, but the rest of my body is still nice & dark all the way to day 7, even with daily exfoliation. I’d previously been paying $50/month for a spray tan membership, within just a few months I’ll have paid off this + the solution in what I was saving from that membership & will be saving money in the long run. Purchased this in October of 2022 and used it about 10-15 times since then. Started off working well but after about 6 months of use, spray was not coming out as fine (despite numerous nozzle cleanses). I also noticed where the bottle with the tanning product connected to the gun was progressively getting looser and looser. This latest use, the entire connection fell apart and broke, making the gun unusable. The unit was never dropped nor traveled with. The unit stayed in one area, stored at proper room temperature and operated/cleaned regularly. See images for reference. ... show more

Works very well— nice even distribution. I accidentally broke the plastic straw the first time I used it. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new one (free of charge) which arrived two days later. Can’t ask for better customer service than that!

    • Love this spray gun
I really like this gun. I’ve used the solution, and it is perfectly fine. I did buy st tropez instead and it works just fine in this machine. My skin gets really dry in the spring and fall so the spray tans are really drying my skin out. I also bought the vitamin spray stuff from st tropez and that really helps to keep my skin from drying out after I spray. Once the weather change is over & my skin isn’t so dry, I’m gonna use it more. All in all, I’m very pleased with my purchase. Norvelle does have a model up from this on their website that’s about $380 that I almost wished I’d bought instead. It has the motor separate and the nozzle and cup together. But this is just for personal use, and I’m happy with it. Edit: after owning this gun for almost 6 months, I still like it and use it weekly, but….I can’t get the super fine mist you get with the sprayer/solution separate from the machine. I stay “tacky/wet” for hours after my spray tan. So I try to time it so I can do stuff nude or in my robe for at least 3 hours, and I’m still tacky! I use the st tropez that gets results in 1 hour for a light tan to 3 hours for a dark tan, and because it doesn’t dry, I don’t think it’s working properly. I still like this gun, especially for the price, and I can get my tan whenever I want, I just hesitate sometimes when I don’t want to be wet all day. ... show more
