I've been self-tanning for 30 years. I've tried them all: Cheap. Drug store. Luxury. Stinky. Lovely fragrances. Color guides. Spray. Foam. Clear. White lotion. Gel. Streaky. Uneven fading. Itchy. Bright orange. Too dark. Too pale. You name a brand, I've tried it. I have found a winner. It's b.tan, Clear, Just Act Natural. No color guide coming off on my sheets. No streaking. No fake orange color. Fades evenly. Lasts almost a week. The coconut smells nice, the self-tanner smell does develop as the chemical reaction occurs, but its not strong and easily addressed with fragranced lotions and perfume. Do the prep work of exfoliating and shaving, apply lotion to your hands/feet/knees/elbows ahead of the tan, use disposable surgical gloves to apply, buff into your face/backs of your hands/tops of your feet with a kabuki brush, apply the product to a velour back strap to tan the back, wait 15-20 min and apply lotion again to your hands/feet/knees/elbows, use a big fluffy brush to dust baby powder where your skin touches skin: armpits, inner elbow, back of your knees, hip joint where your legs crease as you sit, and sleep in loose fitting PJs (mine are are a very soft T-shirt material). The next morning you'll have a nice tan. During the week apply lotion every morning and every night to keep moisturized. When you shower use warm water not hot and don't stay in too long because it makes the tan fade more quickly. Use gentle moisturizing soap. I have the routine down and can get it accomplished efficiently. I tan on Sunday night and can get through the 5 day work week, but I generally do it again on Thursday night to get through the weekend to not worry about fading. But honestly I could make this go a week with a minor touch up using a light shade of self-tanner on my face/hands/feet where it starts to wear off sooner. If I don't feel like doing the whole tan again before the week is up I can use a little bronzing powder to spruce up those areas. I'm super pale and have had pre-cancerous lesions removed, and my sister passed away from skin cancer, so I don't lay in the sun and don't get in the tanning bed. I feel better wearing dresses and sandals with some color on my skin so a quality sunless tanner makes me happy. This tanner is excellent. It looks natural on me. The darker shades would look ridiculous on my skin tone. You will need to experiment yourself. Your skin reacts chemically to get the appearance of tan skin so it's a game of chance that I've been playing for 30 years. You learn your own skin and discover tips and tricks on how to make it look better. I mix a rose gold highlighter in with my lotion to give it a little extra glow. I will be buying this again for sure.

Okay this is genuinely one of the best self tanners I’ve ever used. It’s a clear mist, dries fast, no color, no mess, no smell. You can literally spray it before you walk out the door. Because it’s so light you can build it up gradually over a few days and it looks like an actual natural tan without any streaks. This is nothing like any self tanner I’ve tried before. I use it on my arms and legs too at this point, I don’t see a reason to use anything else. One thing though, learn from my mistake. The first time I used it I over-sprayed because it comes out clear and looks like nothing. Big mistake. It developed into a dark, uneven tan. Follow the instructions and do just a few light sprays at a time. Do NOT over saturate. Less is more with this one, trust me.

Natural looking (I have fair skin), mostly transfer proof (I would avoid wearing white or sleeping in white sheets overnight if you have just applied and waiting for it to develop; washes out just fine though, if it does transfer!), and smells way better than alternatives as it develops. I prefer this compared to the other options from the brand, especially because it smells better and can be worn on the go. Plus, you can’t be the price! Highly recommend.

I'm on my 4th can of this self tanner, and b.tan is the brand I know I can count on. I'm on the sunny side of 70 with pale skin and this mousse gives me great, long lasting color with little effort. I find the foam easy to apply - with a mitt - and it gives me a streak free finish. There is little to no odor that dissipates quickly. The color is even, not splotchy, and is a great tone that pulls neither orange or green on my skin. I apply in the morning, give it 15 minutes to dry down, then dress and have not had any issues with transfer to clothing. The color emerges through the day and leaves a nice, dark tan, that lasts 3-5 days, making me less self conscious baring my legs in public. Quick, easy, inexpensive and works well!

nice and dark. color stays about 5 days (with exfoliation prior to application, and no harsh scrubbing or exfoliation after application & only showering once per day). I use Cerave lotion on top and they do well together

This is perfect for that natural looking sun glow. So easy to apply this fine mist spray. I like to spray it in my hands, rub them together and then apply to my face and neck, but you can also just spray it directly onto your face and neck. Does NOT settle into fine lines! This gradually fades, so I use it daily for a fresh looking glow. It does not look too dark, so doesn't give a fake tan appearance, just a "oh, I see you got a little sun" look.
