We technically own 2 of these lights now, as a panic buy lead to us having a 2nd. We purchased the 1st one on Oct 8, 2023. It sits between 2 recliners and has been on almost 24 hrs/day every single day. We noticed over time it started to dim and had thought about getting a replacement but had put it off as it was still a nice warm color and while not a bright was working just fine. A week ago, while out of town, I started to get flooded with security notices. At first I couldn’t figure out what was setting them off, there was no motion. Then I noticed..the light was blinking on and off then finally off for good. Panic set in, this little light has been the cornerstone of the living room, used daily for an ambient light or zoomed in on a project. We need this light. I immediately ordered the exact same one to replace it, hoping it would beat us home. The thought of having to use the ugly fan light thing was not something we wanted to do. It arrived the day after we got home, thank goodness!! As I go to move the old one out and put the new one in, I think, oh, I’ll just connect the new lamp to the old lamp cord (there’s a DC/AC point of connection) and this way I don’t have to dig under the console table to unplug it at the outlet. I do this and lo and behold the new light doesn’t power on. Nooooo!! Don’t panic.. think!! Maybe the light was fine and the cord was an issue, so I go to unplug the original light cord from the outlet and feel mangled cordage. Apparently the cats (who have never chewed a cord) had snacked on it, likely out of spite for leaving them for a week with less than adequate treat distribution. (Next review Anti-Chew cord covers..) Anyway, sure enough when I use the new cord on the new light, it fires right up - and BRIGHT.. geeze I’d forgotten ours had dimmed over the years (or so I thought, turns out we were the dim ones!). I tried the new cord on the old light and Surprise, it worked too. This is when I remembered, oh yeah, it has a dimmer feature - press/hold the little button and it brightens or dims. Turns out our 2 yr old, always on, light was just as bright as the new one, we must’ve slowly pressed it dimming it over time and never realized it. So after all this turns out we didn’t need the new one, because the old one is just as good as the day we got it. Apparently our memory is not. And so long as we keep the cats happy in the future, we expect it to last a good long while. In the mean time, I spliced the 6” of chewed up cord back together and plan to use the “spare” in the shop. Happy accident when all is said an done. Maybe there will be a 5 yr review… only time (and cats) will tell.

This lamp looks sleek and stylish in our living room, does not take up any visual space, and it does the job! Love that the width of the light beam is adjustable. I use it for embroidery and reading. It was very easy to assemble. Would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Took me a bit to realize those black round pieces were just there to make sure the ends did not scratch each other during shipping. Packed very well. So disregard those small plastic circles at the ends when you put this together. Pull the cord from the base to make sure it is not bunching up. Ok now for the review. This is a very good minimal light for reading my favorite book in bed. It was supposed to go in the living room, but I needed something "not clunky" - something more sleek and modern with a small footprint for the bedroom. This is the perfect solution. Now the light is not super bright and annoying - it's more soft and gets some of it's power from the large glass piece in front of the light. Very cool design. It does not blind me or my pets on the bed and we all appreciate that. The gooseneck ability to change the direction and height is just the right flexibility for me too. It's more money than I wanted to spend, but overall it really is nicely designed and gives a touch of sleekness to my bedroom - you don't notice this lamp when you first enter and that's really what I wanted as well. Nicely done. Highly recommend. Simple, minimal and very functional. I may end up getting a second one for the living room too. [Honest review, no paid endorsement here]

The adjustable beam portion of one lamp I bought works fine and I like the lamp. The other exact lamp - the adjustable beam is extremely difficult to move - its gets stuck. I called 1 day after 30 days about it. Amazon is more difficult to deal with now. O Bright Ray Company hid behind the 30 day window time frame and would not replace the unit. They suggested I return it if in the window. It is not. missed it by one day. I ordered another one. hopefully it will be ok. So I would not expect any respect for return or repeat customers. Maybe best to look for another lamp from a company you can trust. I bought 4 "daylight 24 lamps" and they all work perfectly. Never had an issue. UPDATE 022124 - Amazon called me back and the Seller has now agreed to replace the unit, so I decided to order another one as well. Things are looking up. If all three new one's work, I will be keeping them because I like this design and the way they work (as long as no defect). Will try to give another update soon... UPDATE 022624 - Amazon customer service worked out a replacement of my lamp. That is reasonable and fair and now I am happy about this because now I own 3 lamps which all work well. Practical and Useful. Today I will return the one lamp which has the extreme adjustability stiffness. I would order this lamp again.

I am a perfectionist and always seek out the best quality items. For me to say that I am beyond impressed with this awesome floor lamp is an understatement. First of all, the assembly was very easy. It is built strong and sturdy, and it is very stable standing in the floor. No danger whatsoever of it tipping over or rocking back and forth when touched or turning it on and off. The size is ideal, and it works perfectly at my bedside for reading. It gives off the perfect amount of light—exactly as I desire. When reading, the light does not disrupt your bed partner. You can zero in exactly where you want the light positioned given its flexibility to be directed to any position. If I had failed to write a review of this wonderful lamp, I would have been doing it a terrible injustice. In a day and age where quality is sacrificed, it is refreshing to find a product that is so well worth it. Also, the on/off switch is very conveniently positioned to where it is very easy to reach—even in the dark. I had longed for something like this but never thought it could be found. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great quality and functional bedside floor lamp. By the way, the one I purchased is black in color. Again, I am thrilled with my purchase!!! I’ve had this lamp for about three months and use it almost every day. Features: (1) the light brightness is adjustable. So you can make it super bright or really dim or anywhere between. (2) the lens focus can be adjusted. That means you can change the radius of the light and how much light floods the room. You can make a pinpoint of light or a large, wide circle of light. (3) The neck of the light is adjustable, so you can bend the light downward if you want to read a book or do a hand-based hobby (knitting, model building, etc) or you can bend the light straight up to be a room light. (4) wide base keeps the light stable Considerations; you cannot change the color of the light (warm/cool). It’s a little orange/red color. If you want more blue light, then this might not be the hobby lamp for you. It’s a two prong plug. The plug is a bit large. Overall, I love it. It’s great for reading or a hobby like knitting or needlepoint. EDIT: 10 months later and something has malfunctioned in the lamp. It will turn on and scale to full brightness when plugged in but will not turn off and cannot be dimmed. The button has completely stopped working.
