I used this table top for my 60in tv and stand. This was a DIY project I did. This is a 3 piece glass TV stand originally, but I was concerned that the glass top wouldn’t hold my TVs weight on the glass top. I had it previously mounted to my wall so I never had to worry about that. It’s been amazing. We replaced the crappy thermo-foil countertop in our Class C RV kitchen with the Howizz 60 x 25 in. solid wood table top (acacia, teak-stained finish), and it turned out perfect for the space. Standard butcher block tops are usually 1.5 inches thick, which would've interfered with our window frames and made everything feel too bulky in the tight RV kitchen, but this one's a slim 1 inch thick. The natural wood grain and warm teak tones look beautiful right out of the box, and I only applied a couple coats of butcher block wax for protection. No staining or heavy sealing needed, keeping those authentic natural colors intact. It feels sturdy and well-made, was easy to cut. Even though it's marketed more for desks or tabletops, it's an awesome non-traditional choice for RV countertops. Highly recommend if you're dealing with similar height constraints! ... show more

I purchased this item to replace a cheap laminate countertop in my RV. It arrived in a box and there were no dents on the top of the wood. I liked the color. I placed the wood on a blanket before I cut it with a circular saw to the right size for my countertop project. When I turned the piece over, I noticed a 2 mm wide and about 3 inch linear scratch in the wood. Since I handled the wood very carefully taking it out of the box and placing it on the blanket, I was certain that I had not caused that scratch. I then decided to test the hardness of the wood by scratching the piece that I had cut off. I was surprised to find out how soft the wood was. Buying a solid acacia hardwood board, I expected something very different. I went ahead and finished the wood with a Watco butcher block oil and it is drying as I am writing this review. I am extremely disappointed in the product and regret not having bought a traditional Formica countertop from a local hardware store at a much lower price. ... show more

Well priced board. Some spots are a bit soft wood so I’m sure it may scratch/ indent here and there, which I’ll touch up with furniture maker, but was easily able to swap out the top of my sit/stand desk. The previous fake wood board I had, had this coating that showed fingerprints and oil, so going with the wood top is perfect and gives a very nice rustic /midcentury / modern look. I go the mocha one which was perfect and goes well with black accessories. There is this stain old wood smell but I’m sure that will go away in few weeks given it was in shrink wrap. ... show more

Shipped from Vietnam all the way to Florida... in perfect condition! Amazing! They really do an outstanding job of protective packing on this heavy countertop. We needed 71.5" and ripped off one end with cordless saw, now we have a fancy new laundry counter! It does arrive heavily saturated with oil so let it air out in garage for a few weeks until the smell went down, then hand-rubbed with dry cloths to get some of the surface oil off so it doesn't contaminate the clothes that will be folded on it. ... show more
