First, I love that this does not heat my kitchen like my oven does. The preheat time is fast, and cooking time is also fast. I haven't tried any of the programs. I started with a few of the included recipes, which I followed to the letter, then I started experimenting with those recipes to see how they work with other foods. The grilled asparagus recipe is an excellent one to start with. My asparagus came out wonderfully, but I found it is good to keep an eye on doneness until I understand how this oven works. After the asparagus, I tried salmon with the same method and it was perfect. As were the hamburgers and then meatloaf I tried next. I think one good point to this oven is that there is no one correct way to make anything. I really like the grill - it cooks quickly and efficiently. I suggest learning how to adjust the temp of the upper and lower elements - that is important if a food seems to be cooking too fast on top or on bottom. I have since baked cookies - they cooked in about 7 minutes per batch. French toast is amazing as was bread pudding. Get the hang of a few of the included recipes and then go from there. I even made really good 5 minute a day artisan bread. I have a small vintage Descoware Dutch oven that fits into the Nuwave oven. I baked a small loaf in the Nuwave exactly as I would in my regular oven and the bread was excellent. And I didn't overheat my house. The oven isn't complicated. I know there are an overwhelming number of ways to set it, and too many programs, and it all seems intimidating, but really, take the time to go over the instructions and understand what does what. I doubt I will ever use any of the programs - it is too easy to set it to bake, or roast, or airfry and then set time and temp, and maybe the top or bottom elements. I just check for doneness occasionally and it is so easy. That it will hold at very low temps is a real bonus to me. I like to make tempeh and finding anything that will hold a temp below 100 is amazing. Also, it is not huge - I have a smaller home and this fits on my counter without overwhelming anything. But I still have a lot of room inside to do about anything I want to. It does get hot, but I don't touch the top or sides when I use it and it doesn't radiate a lot of heat into the space around it. On the con side, I don't think this is the best airfryer that I have ever had - my old Paula Dean airfryer beats this hands down. It's okay, but I think its power is in replacing my huge oven for all those baking, roasting and toasting tasks. I also am not impressed with the rack that comes with it. I read reviews that said that rack is not really sturdy and I have to agree. With light foods it's fine, but I had a casserole on that rack and the weight made the rack sag and it fell out of its slots on the side of the oven. The company I bought this oven from responded immediately to my request for a new rack (excellent customer service!!) but it did the same thing, so I have to say it is a design error. But this is not a deal breaker. This oven is too good, so I will always use the air fryer basket/rack for heavy things and the regular racks for light things. That's just not a big deal. I am somewhat a gourmet cook, and I am so pleased with what I can do with this oven. Just be patient with it. I now use it pretty much every day and I would recommend it.

We love this oven! It heats up quickly and cuts cooking times down. We've grilled burgers, baked stuffed shells, and are really impressed. My older stove takes forever and to much gas to heat up, never mind cooking. This was an awesome solution for a really good price. I really like that you can fit a pizza stone in it, and the probe works perfectly. I cooked a three-pound meatloaf in half the time it took with the old one. It's super easy to clean, and quiet while cooking.

Just made my first "toasted eggplant pieces". The original air fryer made them better. They did not crisp up in this unit but then, my first try. I had to return 3 damaged MorningStar ovens that were either smashed or not working or had shelves falling down so was more than pleased that this one arrived and is working. No, it does not get as hot as the other ones do although, sure it gets hot but to me, nothing to worry about. I wish the instruction book was clearer cause, for me, confusing. I tried the roast setting and immediately after the 5 minute countdown it turned off and did not allow me to push start to keep it going but then, for me, not a problem cause I'll just cook what I want without using the pre-set functions. Just use it using the basic settings. It would also be nice if there was a larger recipe book but realize it's something we all have to figure out how we want things ourselves anyway. Having only just used it for one thing just now for first time, I'm pleased with it - after the difficulty I had with the other one I tried. It works, it cooks and for me, a 78 year old, so far so good and I didn't do a 5 star because of it being a bit confusing to use. If I have any problems or want to upgrade my info, I'll come back in future and add but I say, go ahead and purchase it. It's basically a glorified toaster oven to me but with all the additional functions, it probably is a lot more than that

I read the reviews before purchase. Right on the $. Great product but does run hotter then traditional convections. Cut the time back to 15% ratio time when cooking or baking. Grill products does good but I burnt my pizza. It cooks super fast so cut your grill time by 15% or adjust the grill cook temp by 15%. The manual is lengthy& complicated. I haven't used many of the various things can be done yet because the instructions are too complicated to my mindset. I keep it simple e oven functions, preheat, toast and adjusting cool times. I baked my entire Easter dinner in this seperately but the pork loin came out perfect in less than an hour, green beans, baked squash superior, my home made breads. I use it everyday and take care of it. Does not set off my smoke alarm in RV. Recommend large wooden cutting board to set the oven on to keep counter tops from overheating.

Overall I give it a 5 Star rating generally we all USE it a lot here. The instructions are really confusing till I read them several times and wrote down the order of what I do to cook chicken thighs. Then I experimented until I got the order right. Last night made Orange Chicken and OMG they were so good, Crispy outside and so very tender and cooked inside. (Hint, 5 thighs, 32 minutes at 375, turning over half way. Start with skin down). The photo is actual picture, not edited. Frozen fish fillets came out actually crispy outside and tender inside instead of dry mush you get with a regular oven. So using this to cook has been fun. I am going to try other self-made recipes because I like things simple. Cleaning is easy for the most part. The bottom tray is a great idea. Cleaning the elements though is a bit of a challenge since I do not want to damage them. I now need to look for another baking pan to fit. My friend cooks different foods and the pan that comes with it is overkill for what he needs. As for recipes on the internet, you might get some great ideas but putting 10-20 herbs, seasoning and all in the food is something I go out and dine at a nice restaurant for. My take is that the air fryer is for quick and easy convenience. Not to be a "Master Chef". Just a thought. Enjoy it. I would recommend buying this even with the murkey instructions!

My previous toaster air fryer gave out after five years of constant use. It was a total replacement for my oven and was used multiple times daily. There are so many options available but it was necessary to find one that would fit the available space. The Nuwave Bravo XL Air Fryer Toaster Smart Oven is wonderful. The size is perfect and so much lighter. It does not get as hot and the fan is on the side rather than the top which means my overhead fan can draw out the heat so much easier. The preheat time is shorter, and the overall time cooking is much shorter. My food is cooked thoroughly but so much quicker. The menu is very easy to navigate assuring the correct time and temperature will be used. I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

I like the versatility, having multiple oven functions in one unit. However the airfryer setting is not that great. The directions on the bag of whatever your air frying are never correct for this oven. Also operating any of the functions are more complicated than they make it look on TV any instruction manual is confusing. I tried searching for manufacturer tutorials online and all I find or clips of the infomercial or random people trying to use the oven. They need to create a basic manual where you can look up a specific basic food item for instructions. If you're going to cook meet no matter which function you want to use I would always recommend using the temperature probe otherwise that little oven will ruin whatever you put in there unless you can stand around and check it every 5 minutes. Overall it's a decent piece of equipment especially considering it cuts down on the Clutter of having multiple cooking devices. Just be prepared and do several practice runs before you put expensive meal in there for your family

It beats Breville hands down. After years of buying Brayville toaster ovens and a getting terrible customer service when a product has a problem. I decided to try a different brand. I have never been happier. Quality excellent, functions excellent price excellent, accessories excellent. But, it was almost 1 year to the day I had a problem. The LED display start to lose it's segments. I then called New Wave customer service. I talked to a customer service person named Elizabeth K. The problem was taking care of fast and efficiently. They honored my warranty and sent me a brand new nuwave. This was on a Monday I received it yesterday on a Thursday. Installed the new one, and sent back the defective one in the same box the new one came in with a prepaid shipping label. Hey, guys it doesn't get any better than that. So I would like to commend and thank Elizabeth K for her knowledgeable service and for her excellent friendly atmosphere. It's not every day that you will find a person like this.
