I love my initial air fryer and decided to buy a new one 4 months ago, a Nuwave 8qt. Just like the previous one, I loved cooking with it! Unfortunately, after 4 months the unit was sensing the door was open when it was closed, and therefore the unit did not turn on. I contacted customer service one evening and the next morning I received a response. The rep asked for a video to see what was going on. I sent it and in less than 24 hours I once again received a response that they would replace the unit. I was told it would take 3-5 days, I received my new one in 2 days and I am happily cooking once again! Great air fryer and great customer service!!!!! ... show more

Giving this 5 starts because all factored in, it’s very well worth the price. I love the style mostly, but it cooks very well too. I like that you can adjust the wattage. I bought this because of the dehydrator with the thought of making treats for my dogs but I haven’t mastered this yet.

While I'm still getting used to this type of appliance and cooking in this way and all the settings, I am enjoying it very much. The settings take some getting used to and things happen so fast with it (part of the benefit) that each time I try a recipe, it's taken a few tries to really work with the appliance well. This was our first air fryer and so everything about it was new to me. Operating the unit was a little more complicated than what I would have liked initially but after a few days/meals it became second nature. I've used this for cooking meats and reheating things but I am admittedly no chef. The food is well cooked and heating seems uniform based on the uniformly cooked meats. The build quality of this unit is excellent and the icons are easy to read. The unit is fairly large so make sure you have a place for it to live in your kitchen before purchasing.
