  • Good product.
Color: Light Purple
Expectations were met and exceded. Good hand held blender for travel. The USB charging capability is very handy. Used it and it did a great job for my smoothie and protein shakes. Easy of cleaning is also a plus.

  • Much more convenient than traditional blenders
Color: Bright Pink
Our first introduction to the NutriBullet family was using their Baby Bullet product to puree foods and fruits for our baby. Their products served us well then and if our early experiences with this one are any indication, this will serve us well too as we endeavor to eat more healthy. I always assumed that blending fruits and vegetables would somehow make the fiber less useful for your body, but that's not the case; as long as you use whole fruits (minus the seeds but including edible peel) the fiber content remains intact in the smoothie, as do its benefits to your digestion and overall health. I think shakes have gotten a bad rap because people end up drinking more of them. Instead of taking 5 minutes to eat an apple, you can ingest one in 10 seconds, and sometimes your body will want more. Worse, a lot of commercial juice places will add sugar and fruit juice to flavor their shakes which turn something that would otherwise be healthy into something no healthier (and often worse) than guzzling bottles of soda. We tested it using a glass of milk, a banana, and some apple slices that my daughter brought home from school and the result was surprisingly refreshing—and a LOT quicker than lugging out the full size blender and having to clean it. We're looking forward to testing it with other things like ice, avocados, and—my daughter's suggest—a chocolate shake. it takes a little getting used to the operation. Your instincts will be to just press the button and have the thing start roaring, but you need to press the button once (to "wake it up"), wait a little while, and then press again to start blending. Clean-up is pretty simple. The clear plastic "cup" screws off and can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand. Cleaning the bottom unit is a little more tricky. First of all, you need to watch your hands because the blades are exposed (although the won't power on, of course, while the cup is off). There's a little crevice where sticky liquid can get in which you'll want to make sure to rinse right away after blending. And of course, because the bottom unit is electrical, you won't want to submerge it in water. They say to "gently rinse" it, but I'm surprised that they didn't add a little cover for the USB-C plug so that water wouldn't get in there. Obviously you'll want to make sure that's dry before operating. I'm also skeptical in general of these "cordless" appliances that run on non-replaceable rechargeable batteries. Because of the nature of these batteries, it will eventually degrade and stop holding a charge. I wish there were a way to swap out the battery or use standard batteries. Without that, this unfortunately will have a limited lifetime before you have to toss it in the trash; I'm guessing maybe 3-5 years if you're lucky (it's not clear whether this can be powered by a USB-C cable when the battery finally goes dead). Those flaws aside, we were really happy with this product. If you happen to have some ripe fruit or vegetables that you're not going to eat, this makes it easy to just throw it in a smoothie and see what comes out. ... show more

  • Convenient little blender, but I wish the cup was detachable
Color: Bright Pink
I used to have a slightly bigger plug-in Nutribullet and although my wife was really into it for a few years, eventually we agreed that between our full-sized Vitamix blender, the various attachments we had for the full-sized blender (including some grab-and-go portable smoothie cups you could stick on the big blender base to quickly make a portable shake), not to mention our stick-blender and various other chopping an blending devices we had -- that the old Nutribullet had become a bit redundant, so we gave it away to reclaim some shelf space. But the cool thing about this new Nutribullet is that it's even more compact, lighter weight, cordless, and rechargeable -- it's quite nifty that you can put this in your backpack with all of your ingredients already loaded up inside of it (or not) and then with a press of a button later in the day, boom!, you've got an instant-smoothie, nice and freshly mixed. Likewise, being able to tap on the blender button on this at any time means you can quickly refresh a shake that you'd already blended earlier as well, to get any separate elements remixed and keeping your shake from getting gluggy, etc.... So that's all cool -- and this is also convenient for taking with you to to the gym, a picnic, or work, storing in a desk drawer at work, and so on... However, well, I dunno -- to be honest, there aren't really that many time a week when I feel a need to suddenly blend or re-blend something while on the go... And the one downside of this device is that the cup/water-bottle like portion of the device can't be used when separated from the blender base... So you can't just blend a shake and pop the bottle part off to take with you somewhere -- you have to constantly lug around the not-too-heavy but-not-as-light-as-a-cup blender base with you, even just to take a sip of your drink... Of course, you could always pour the contents of the blender into a regular cup, which is what I've ended up doing several times now, but at that point it starts to make you wonder again if maybe a traditional blender is all you really needed to begin with, and the portability aspect of this is mostly a novelty half the time... So I'm not convinced we'll be keeping this long-term, but my wife thinks that if nothing else it'll be convenient to leave at her office for blending up quick ice coffees and yoghurt smoothies now and again. Anyway, it works really well so far, so if you need a super-portable blender, this is a pretty nifty gadget. ... show more
