This is a sturdy and powerful little machine. I've only used it once to mash sweet potatoes, but it did the best job of any of my electric mixers. And it is easier to wash than beaters and fits nicely in my cutlery drawer.

I was so pleased to find a low cost, highly rated, 500 watt blender immersion blender on Amazon. I've used it once, and this thing kicks butt! It did exactly what I hoped it would do. I ended up with a silky smooth lotion. I couldn't be happier! I knew going in that reviewers had mentioned it was fatiguing to hold the "on" button for a long period of time, and that is true. Thankfully I don't need it for long stretches. Also be aware that if you do need it for long stretches, the instructions recommend a rest period after a minute, etc. For what I am using it for, it is perfect.     • Does the job. No 'low speed' option.

It does what it's supposed to do. However there are times when you do not want high speed blending. A lower speed setting would be very welcomed. At it's normal (very high) speed, the nature of it's function is to draw the head of the unit down to bottom of the container you are using it in (simple physics.) This is not something you can fight. If you have you have contents in the container which cannot slip under the head, they do not get blended. An option is to tilt the blender a bit. This works provided your contents are deep enough to well contain the head. If not, so much for the non-splatter feature. I've not tried the 'Turbo' mode. Can't imagine ever needing it. This is my first blender of this type. I may be giving it away and looking for one with a more variable speed. ... show more

I purchased this to aid with formulations for my skincare line. I had one, purchased in 2021. It died midway through a formula. I didn’t need all the bells and whistles of the chopping cup and other attachments, as I have them from the prior purchase that remain in the packing plastic to date. The delivery was next day, I promptly sanitized and popped them into the formula that in no way was emulsified enough. This hand blender did the job quickly and thoroughly. The old one was 800 speed.
