I bought this as part of a getting healthier goal to make smoothies in the am. First try, I did not read the recommendations for how to put in your ingredients and there was protein powder in the bottom that did not dissolve. Second time, read recommendations which tell you to put your protein powder in on top and then pour your liquid. Still had a little protein powder that did not get mixed in. Husband suggested putting protein powder IN liquid and mixing it up which I did. Now we all know protein powder does not dissolve in cold liquids, so I just did the best I could. This method worked the best for everything getting mixed together. I like a thicker smoothie so I used frozen fruit and a little juice and protein powder and maybe 1-3 ice cubes, sometimes no ice cubes. This thing is so much fun. You just tighten the lid, flip the comntainer upside down, press it into the base and whirly-doodle-do! you've got a smoothie! Comes with 2 16oz cups and 2 to-go flip lids which have opening big enough to allow straws. BONUS: Makes a FABULOUS 1 serving margarita in no time flat. ... show more

The Ninja is great 10x better then a Magic Bullet MB! Liquified a fr0zen banana in 15 seconds, magic to0k over a minute(MB said do not blend over 1 min) and still had frozen pieces. 6 blades are much faster then a Bullets 2 or 4 blade cap. Internal threads are s much better to drink out of, blades are raised off the bottom for easy cleaning ,no way do you get a brush under MB blade to clean them. if using it as a travel cup ,beware the lids sip hole cover will open when cup is flipped upside down, the other drawback is I have to hold it down, no twist lock feature, but at 15 seconds liquify time, its no big deal ... show more

    • The Ninja Fit holds 16 ounces, works well but IS LOUD.
After trying 2 different smoothie blenders, of which each were poorly built, the Ninja Fit blender was the next option. The Ninja brand of Ninja and can handle 16 ounces of food. It cuts through carrots, ice, ginger and most everything and blends each item nicely. This unit requires holding the cup down while blending, which is good. It prevents the blender from running on automatic, with the possibility of running off the countertop onto the floor. Nothing quite beats picking up smoothies off the floor. It came with some interesting smoothie recipes, most of them are amazing. There are only a few downsides. We couldn't find cups larger than 16 ounces and arrived at the conclusion that the function and size of the base wasn't intended for larger quantities. Also, the blender IS LOUD. We wear earplugs when using it. The third point is it does slip on the countertop, but since we are required to hold the cup down, we also hold the base in position. I'm still giving this a 5-star rating. It's well designed, built right and should last as long as our other Ninja products. ... show more

Works quick, very easy to clean with the bare minimum of moving parts. It might be more expensive than similar products on Amazon however it should have a much longer lifespan. Having the mixer double as a bottle is super efficient. Especially love its small size. Overall great product, little things here and there that we wish were better. Larger cups would be great, the ability to walk away while it was blending would be ideal also. We do have leak issues, but we have found ways around that. Have had no concerns about blending thicker mixes, it handles just about everything without bogging down or leaving chunks. This is small and compac. As I am a full time RV person this is very important. I make a lot of smoothies. This little maching can really chop the ice. It comes with 2 cups with lids for straws. I am impressed by the way it functions. Now that I am sure of this product I will order the next size up because thats just how much I use it.
