Most blenders have some sort of twist to lock component, are too heavy/big, or aren't easy to clean. This one is perfect for someone who doesn't have strong hands/wrists or has arthritis/osteoporosis. No twist mechanic needed here - just put the tumbler on the base and push down. This has been game changing for my elderly family member, allowing her to be self sufficient when grinding up her food. I can also confirm it grinds up anything (meat, veggies, etc.) as fine as you would like. Pro tip - if you want it really fine, release and push down again multiple times instead of just holding it down. I bought this and then immediately returned it because I thought I found a cheaper blender at a competitive store which I did in that cheaper blender worked out well for me, but I think I should’ve kept this one over getting the cheaper blender. This one did work out well it is easy to use. It was not too heavy because I used to pack it in my suitcase and take it with me. All the pieces and parts are easy to use. It is a quality product. it blends up the smoothies very well and definitely worth the money. The materials are also great as far as it being in a blender and then a cup to drink out of I just was able to save some money by buying a different product and that’s what I did and I kind of regretted it. ... show more

Overall, this is a helpful tool to have in the kitchen. We use it primarly to puree oatmeal, mix egg mixtures for scrambled eggs and make protein drinks. It is relatively easy to use and clean. Having the extra cup on hand is helpful. It seems durable, solid and easy to use. The one nit I have is that you have to be careful to tighten the base really well because it is prone to leaking if not tightened enough. The flip side is when you tight it really tight, depending on the contents, it can be difficult to open after mixing. Purchased 5 years ago and used the blender nearly every day until it stopped working. I was irritated to have to look for a replacement, but I got over 1500 uses, so I can't be too mad. I used it to blend frozen fruit and it worked perfectly for about 4.5 years. After that much time, it started to leak a little. Six months later it stopped working. The cups are a little small and I often filled beyond the max line. The blending power held up right until the end, there was no gradual drop off in it's ability to blend. ... show more
