Purchased this ice maker as a replacement for my GE Opal that stopped working. MUCH better value, and delicious ice! The basket is small, so when filling a large water bottle, we need to refill so someone else can have some. We are refilling more frequently, but also don't have to deal with the problems our old machine had. The ice is so soft and delicious! We use our RO water and have taught all the kids how to fill. LOVING THIS! and at a fraction of the price of our old machine. I'd rather purchase 3-4 of these for what a replacement of the other machine would cost. ... show more

Love the icemaker within probably 7 to 9 minutes. I have ice. What I usually do is make a whole bunch up so that I have it. You do not have to do that. You can just fill it turn it on and you’ll have ice for when you need it. I don’t have a freezer large enough to keep a lot of ice in, so this is perfect for me. Make sure if you’re going to make a bunch of ice you transfer each batch into the freezer though so that it doesn’t start melting ... show more

Does what it is advertised to do; it’s a little loud to leave out/in. I see myself using it for a few days, nagging the ice and then putting it away until I need/want more ice, it also seems to make a lot of heat while being run? In the winter this won’t be a problem, but in A/C ( or trying to do without A/C season, ), avoiding g extra heat is important. Unpacking, there was strap tape used to hold plastic parts in place, I had a terrible time reaching/removing a piece holding the ‘scraper’ blade that pushes the cubes out into the holding badket ... show more

It's got a tray that lives out your eyes also has a handle on the side which is nice and easy to use. The only thing I don't like is the ice cubes melt fast and the small size isn't much bigger than the large size

Ok. This is the most random novel purchase of my life and I can't live without out it. 6 minutes...that's the wait time for ice. I fill my water bottle in the morning using all the ice and I don't worry about refilling ice trays. There is always ice available. If not, a short wait and there's ice. We are not able to run a water line to our fridge so this has been the best money spent in a long time! ... show more

My fridge stopped making ice so I went this route. Good choice! Not super fast, but can’t be beat for the price. My daughter fills a half gallon water bottle 3x a week and I make a 3/4 blender smoothie everyday. I never feel like I need more ice. I store backup in my fridge’s ice tray and bag ice in ziplocks when needed (travel, beach days, etc). I make ice with alkaline water from the store. Tastes much better than fridge ice! ... show more
