This has been a nice addition to our small appliances. Makes ice very quickly and has a small footprint on the counter. The fan isn’t quite but also isn’t loud like the fan over the stove. Just loud enough so you know it’s on and you can hear the first ice fall into the basket. The water reservoir is on the small side and is very easy to fill. The basket comes out easily to empty the ice and allows you drain the water off before dumping the ice. The scoop fits perfectly in the basket and the hanger has keep us from losing it. One thing to consider when you’re saving a lot of ice for a party and storing it in the freezer, the ice pellets freeze together & we have to use an ice pick to break it up. Overall we’re very pleased with this purchase.

This is my second ice maker. The first one was the bullet-size one, but I have to say this is great. The only downside to it, it's loud. I thought it was a quiet one, and nope, you can hear it compared to the other one, but the ice is awesome.

I am really enjoying this ice machine! I love Sonic ice, and this is very close to it. It makes the ice quickly, and cycles off and on to keep ice made until you turn it off. The machine does not keep it cold, so as the ice melts, the water cycles back through to be made into ice again. The scoop that came with it is just the right size, but I cannot get the suction cup to stay on the side of the machine. I created a whole drink station with drink enhancers and cute insulated cups, and I just feel spoiled having this ice at home. When I put it in an insulated cup, there is still ice left 12 hours later.

IMPORTANT; Before plugging it in, set it upright on a lever surface for 24 hours. The device ships on it’s side so the machine oil needs time to settle. I’m willing to be the reviews about awful noises are because this wasn’t done. It’s killed me to have to wait, but it was worth it. First thing the next day, like a kid on Christmas morning, I filled the reservoir and stared at the ice chute. Sure enough, it stared producing ice in just a few minutes. And the ice is wonderful! Small chewy bits of frozen goodness! I haven’t made 30 pounds of ice in one day, but I’m certain the machine is capable of it. There are two of us and we both love ice and lots of it. We’ve never run out. We’ve come close, but it only takes about 20 minutes and the bin is full again. It’s like a loud refrigerator and will get on your nerves if you have a great room with a kitchen. This is a negative for all portable ice machines. I doubt there is such a thing as a quiet portable ice maker. Plan on setting it up in a nearby room. We have ours in a stand in the laundry room. We’ve had ours for three months and absolutely love it! Very highly recommended! UPDATE: Silonn has great customer service! Three months past the warranty, our machine started acting up. I contacted customer service and heard back in less than 24 hours! They asked for a few pictures of the machine and the serial number. Again, in less than 24 hours, customer service informed us they were shipping us a replacement. We didn’t even have to return the broken machine. Not only that, they’re sending us a tracking number when it ships. Extraordinary!

Only had it for a week but we love it. It stores the ice. Reuses the melted water. You can hear it working, we don't live in a vacuum where sound won't travel. But it's not loud. Ice is not identical to Sonic but close enough!

As someone who likes my drinks cold but isn’t necessarily a fan of ice, nugget ice has always been my exception. This machine works pretty fast (ice starts being produced within 10 mins), isn’t real loud (of course there is some noise, it has a motor after all), and I enjoy how easy it is to use. I have found that I need to put the ice in a bag (I use the gallon freezer bags) otherwise the nuggets stick together when placed back in a freezer (mine goes to -1 F)

The media could not be loaded. I don’t normally write reviews, but I’ve had this a few weeks now and LOVE it! I will say that it is probably only practical for 1-2 people. I don’t think it could keep up with a family. It’s fairly small and does take a bit of babysitting to empty and add water, but I just run it while I’m in the kitchen anyways and put the ice in a big 2 gallon ziplock in the freezer. When you first turn it on it will kick out slush, but just give it a few minutes and it will get colder. I just dump the slush back in the water reservoir. It takes about an hour to fill the basket, and I would say it probably took half a day to fill the bag the first time, but then I just keep replenishing anytime I’m in the kitchen for a while. Yes, it sticks together a little in the freezer, but just bang it on the counter like any bag of ice you would buy and it breaks up just fine. The noise level doesn’t bother me. It’s no louder than my convection oven or air fryer.
