NOW Foods GABA, L-Tryptophan, 5-HTP, Taurine, I take all of these daily now. Enhances my overall mood, attitude, outlook on life, and energy levels. I simply feel better taking these supplements. Helps me through the depressing winter months. For myself, I find that these are best taken on an empty stomach with a cup of coffee in the morning, and then I won't eat for an hour afterwards. This added to my normal antidepressant really helps even me out. Or maybe it’s just placebo. Either way I’ll keep taking them. I don’t notice any of the other things like added focus or appetite suppressant, but that’s not why I use it.

After 10 yrs of trying to help my daughter stay away from px meds & navigating a path of holistic treatment for anxiety/depression, Im singing hallejuah!! She is several months in, with 1 in the morn & 1 at night, & she is so impressed! Bye bye depression! You know the struggle of trying multiple supplements, different concoctions, cleanses, self care tips, etc...only to feel like depression may be the cross you'll have to bare for the rest of your life.. Let me tell you, this 5HTP is a miracle! She has had no side effects! I told her, if needed, she could take one around lunch and she hasnt needed to at all! I want to be clear we have a vitamin protocol. I dont want to give any false hopes, that this is a one & done...she takes cbd gummies, lithium oratate, ltheanine, pan acid...and i would be nervous removing any one of these from her daily supplements BUT the 5 HTP is what kicked the depression out with incredible results!
