  • I'm Very Happy and Blessed with this Inverter
Size: 1500W12V
This inverter is awesome! I have been blessed to be able to put it to the test for 6 months now and its light weight, little to no noise, yields power exactly as advertised, efficiently works with my battery bank, and is a steal at the current price. It has a nifty battery monitor gauge and it's wise to fuse and switch properly at all circuit points to avoid its great inner protection fuses from blowing. Replacement fuses are very affordable via Amazon marketplace and good to keep on hand just in case. ... show more

  • Great emergency AC power for gas furnace & fridge
Size: 1000W12V
The 1000W unit ran flawlessly from my Prius car during a 12+ hr power outage (56hrs). It was used to power our fridge and gas furnace during an Austin winter storm. Performance: supplied both furnace (400W) and fridge (400W). The Prius supplied 12V DC directly from it’s starter battery. The car was left running which kept the battery fed from the car’s 100A charging system. Peak load was 80% and the inverter max temperature was 43C. Installation: Furnace power line was modified to add an AC/Generator isolation switch (DPDT), 40 ft AC ‘feed’ extension cord and a dual AC outlet. A electrician is recommended to do this to code. At the Prius 12V battery, a 150A DC quick connect was wired and routed to the back hatch area. The mating half of the connector was wired to the Novopal. Operation: Switch the furnace AC isolator from ‘AC’ to ‘Generator’. Connect the Novopal DC quick connect to the Prius battery. Connect the furnace extension cord to the Inverter. Turn on the Prius. Turn on the inverter & confirm that DC and AC voltages are OK. Add more extension cords to the furnace outlet to power the fridge, etc. Monitor the Novopal power gage & Temperature. In my case, the Prius was backed up to the garage door on the driveway where the extension cord was connected ( door closed to keep exhaust fumes from entering dwelling). My furnace closet is 30 ft from the Garage. The Lennox gas furnace needs about 4A peak to power its controller and Blower motors. Notes: 1. You need a vehicle with at least an 80A charging system for the 1000W inverter. My PriusV had a 100A supply. 2. The Prius automatically runs the gas engine as needed to charge its 40Ah 12V battery. About 2 gallons of gas was consumed in 12hrs. 3. Load varied from 10-80% with the 2 inverter fans coming on when unit's temperature rose above 40C. UPDATE after 56hrs of Continuous Use: 1. The Prius used about 7.5 gallons gasoline for the 56 hr outage (3.2gallons per 24 hrs). I was able to add a 2nd Refrigerator and a few USB Chargers without exceeding the load rating of the System (1000W). 2. The Invertor and Prius ran continuously for 56 hours with no hiccups. 3. Most cars and light trucks have at least 80Amp 12V Charging systems, so I expect that the Novopal can be connected directly to the vehicle battery and have sufficient current. ... show more

  • Beautiful digital display
Size: 1500W12V
So far no problems with this inverter. It's very quiet or else the fan isn't coming on, but haven't put a big load on it yet, just 16% was shown. Haven't tried the remote control yet. The digital screen gives plenty of information to monitor the system, I'm very pleased so far.

  • So far so good with the Novapal 1500 Watt 12 Volt Power Inverterrter
Size: 1500W12V
The unit arrived in a timely fashion. I really like the LCD screen for basic info regarding the Inverter. There's not really any settings or adjustment to be done with this. The screen times out after a few minutes and can be turned back on by pressing a small button on the 110V outlet end of the inverter. I have run a few small devices from this inverter. A small electric air compressor showed it was using about 10% of the load on the display while pulling 2.2 Amps. The only thing that seems off is the display shows 109 Volts AC but my Killawatt shows 107 Volts. It seems consistently two volts below what the inverter display shows for voltage. The DC side appears to be much closer on its readings. It came with 4 or 6AWG battery cables that seemed usable but I went ahead and used 2 AWG between the battery and the inverter and used these cables to connect between my batteries and charge controller. Overall I would recommend this for a smaller solar setup. I will be installing this inside a ventilated equipment cabinet in a greenhouse. We'll see if it hold up to the environment. Update 05/21/21 - This inverter is still functioning and provides power to my intake and circulation fans as well as some LED lighting. I have other fans and equipment that use 12V on a fuse block connected to the batteries. A couple of negatives are that the inverter will run the batteries down to 11V before shutting off. This isn't good for batteries and I cannot find a way to adjust this. Fancy screen with no control.. It seems to suck power when it's powered on, even when all loads are turned off or disconnected. My 200 watt solar panel seems to keep up but in the middle of winter I ended up needing to run an extension cord out to the greenhouse to power a small battery charger to keep the batteries charged. This isn't necessarily the inverters fault but with it pulling power it will drain the batteries if left unattended. ... show more

  • Waste of time and money
Size: 6000W24V
I thought I was stepping up, I was wrong. The "remote control" doesn't control. It does give a read out of battery power. Nothing else. The display on the front seldom works. The on/off has never worked. If the batteries drop below what it believes it should, it faults. It will not power on even if the batteries come back up. Once it faults, you have to discontect the battery power and then connect it all back up again. Major waste of money. And a lot of extra work to keep it doing what it is supposed to do. Unless you have money to waste, find something else. ... show more
