It does not say what kind of wood. Works okay to me. Good design for easy installation. I would give it 5 stars but unfortunately, the QA is lagging. There are a few long scratches in the central of the headboard, likely existed even before the painting. Because of the reflection, not clear in distance. So I just kept it.

First off, the natural wood finish is way nicer in person than I thought—warm, simple, fits my room perfectly. The headboard with adjustable storage is awesome, too. I keep my phone, glasses, and even a book there at night, and it’s super easy to reach. Assembly wasn’t too bad, I put it together by myself in under an hour. The slats feel sturdy, no creaks or weird noises when I move around, which is a huge win. And yeah, you don’t need a box spring—just throw your mattress right on there, done. Only tiny thing? I wish the instructions had a little more detail on lining up the headboard, but it was still no big deal. Overall, this bed feels way more solid than the cheap ones I’ve had before, and it looks way cleaner too.
