These are so nice and give a vintage feel to our outdoor lights on the house. A few of the bulbs were burnt out, and the customer service was excellent in sending new ones! The color is really nice, and a good value for the money. I would buy these again.

I used this for wrapping my palm tree for winter protection. They will scortch sheets and blankets with extendend use so only use throw away items as they do get warm.

    • Extremely Fragile Bulbs

Being older, I was expecting a heavy duty string of lights with heavier bulbs that would stand up to outdoor conditions. Unfortunately the bulbs are Extremely Fragile! These are the most fragile bulbs I have every used and I doubt they will hold up for outdoor use in heavy wind if they are going to hit against anything solid. Since they came without the bulbs inserted in the sockets, while attempting to do that I dropped one and it shattered into a zillion pieces. There wasn't a single replacement bulb or fuse included so I was then unable to test the string to see if it worked or use it at all. Also, when screwing in the bulbs they didn't seem to want to go in straight. It was as if the socket did not quite line up with the screw pattern on the bulbs. Based on the problems I have mentioned and the fact that I could not even turn the lights on to test them, I am forced to give this product a 1-star rating. If you purchase this strand I would strongly recommend that you realize you MUST purchase replacement bulbs at the same time because you will likely break one or two during the process of stringing the line (especially if doing it outdoors). Also, bear in mind that a replacement fuse does not come with the string so if the fuse goes you will not have workable lights. I have ordered replacement bulbs and once they arrive and I am able to test the strand I will return and rate the functionality of the strand. ... show more
