My last one of something almost 30 years still worked fine although the handle off about 5 years ago. The emblem on the side came off recently and the sticky left behind did keep me from dropping it but was uncomfortable to hold so I just returned it for a new one. I was very happy to see that it was still just as well made as ever. I've had 2 of these, both of which have problems with the lid. After disassembly, getting the lid back on so that it's leak proof again just doesn't work. My latest one I've had for just over 2 years. Spilled completely in my lunchbox on my way to work this morning. Good fun... Keeps coffee hot for a very long time and then warm for several hrs after. Never gets “cold”. Opens and shuts easily. Open/Closed ring on top aligns in 2 places so the open slot (whether picking up cup w right or left hand) always lines up with your lips. Great for at home & especially traveling.

I've only used this to keep hot drinks hot - and it works! I make an Americano (shot of espresso with hot water added) and it will keep the coffee hot for several hours. It works so well that I often add an ice cube before putting the lid on, otherwise it stays hot for too long and I can't drink it fast enough. The lid comes apart for cleaning fairly easily, which is also nice. I've not experienced any leaks after a few months of use. Definitely recommend. ... show more
