The "NOUHAUS Ergo Flip! Mesh Computer Chair at around 250 dollars is not a replacement for a 1400 dollar Herman Miller Aeron, but is a bargain for what you get - if you fit. Packaging is nice and simple as is assembly. Size comparison: Aeron has three sizes, A - tiny, B - normal and C- up to 250 lbs. I was 6' 305 lbs and never had a bad day in 20+ years with my Aeron chair at work. The Ergo home chair comes in one size that claims a 275 lbs weight capacity. I would grade the size of the Ergo as similar to that of the Aeron 'B' (for people under 200 lbs). Now at 5'11 and 250 lbs., the "NOUHAUS Ergo Flip! Mesh Computer Chair" is better than a dining room chair, but sitting longer than a half an hour starts to become uncomfortable on the hips and legs that rest upon the seat frame. Had to add a pillow for cushion. I haven't noticed any back pains so the "ergo" part of the name has worked as advertised. It adjusts up and down nicely and the forward/backward tilt adjustment, while requiring a little extra effort to reach way down to locate, worked well. After finding the best sitting position, I won't have to use again. The headrest is more of a neck rest if you are short-legged with a tall upper body - but this is true of most chairs. It swivels very smoothly and the roller blade wheels are quite an upgrade from traditional caster wheels (both of which are included in box). As for reclining, it makes creaking noises and snapping sounds that become louder when I stand up. Average sized people may have a much more positive experience. Summary: For what I paid it was an acceptable gamble. Not sure this chair will last long at my current weight, but it makes me appreciate the Aeron chair all the more. Now, I know the reason why Herman Miller Aeron chairs are so expensive (and worth every penny). If this chair has an XL version, it may be comparable to a Herman Miller "C"-sized chair, but this verison is not of the same class. ... show more

    • Seems well built, not for anyone with a wider waist >220ish lbs.

Here are my first impressions. I'll try to update once I've had it for a week. Pros: + Seems well built + Decent materials Cons: - Roller casters make it too tall. I'm 6' and on the lowest setting I now need a monitor stand unless I want to strain my neck. Also if I wanted to lean on my desk I'd look like a hunchback! My desk is about 30" tall. - Seat not very wide. I'm 6' 250lbs and the plastic sides dig into the bottom of my thighs. - I'd call it a neck rest, not a head rest. All the way extended it really only supports my neck. - Arm rests are a little on the low side. So initially I was pleasantly surprised with the overall build quality and materials. It's only once I sat in it was I disappointed. Yes, the weight limit is 275lbs but the size of the seat really limits it to those with either small hips or are much lighter than myself (250 lbs) In the time it took to write this review my thighs are already hurting. Honestly, this chair looks and feels like an expensive Herman Miller, but at a fraction of the price. It shipped fast (Prime, of course) and was easy to put together. Very few parts and it went together nicely. I like the mesh design in both the seat and seat back, as I work out of my home office and my older fabric style chair made me sweat and provided less free air circulation. I definitely recommend this chair because of its styling, form, function and cost point. ** Note about the two sets of wheels. The larger, scooter style wheels make the chair sit about 1 1/4" higher, and for my mom, she is short enough that I needed to install the smaller diameter wheels so that she could reach the ground and also so that the chair arms could fit under the desk. ... show more

Bought this chair for a new every day office chair. I did a lot of research on what needs I have out of an everyday office chair. I wanted a sturdy, good quality ergonomic comfortable chair for a professional office setting. The Nouhaus ErgoFlip chair fit the bill. I am very pleased on how comfortable this chair is. I’m looking forward to using it everyday. For the price the chair is a great value. Took me 10 minutes to put together. Easy to assemble. The product would be great if the mesh didnt give way after a day of use. The staples popped out of the seems on both the seat and the back. I'm 5'11" 200 lbs. So it should support me no problem. Update: customer service is working with me. Will update later. They have sent me a replacement. I am giving a three star review until I see that it holds up longterm. Then will update again. They have been very nice and supportive in replacing the chair. ... show more
