I had just purchased a king size tempurpedic mattress which, as I am sure you are aware, is NOT cheap! I was moving out of one home to another and now, my biggest concern was not damaging my brand new mattress. I researched almost obsessively for something to protect the mattress as I was petrified of damaging it. I was also storing it for a little over a month in storage until my home was move in ready. The Nordic Elk Mattress Bag was terrific!! The elongated zipper that went around almost the entire bag made it so easy to pack my mattress, I actually did it myself. Dragged across tile, concrete and grass to finally get into the truck to take to storage, it held up spectacularly. Zero damage to the bag, skid marks obviously, but zero to the bag. It protected my mattress flawlessly and after my tempurpedic finally made it to its final resting spot, I wiped down the bag, folded it, and kept it in storage, to hopefully NOT use again. The Nordic Elk Mattress Bag lived up to any and all expectations and I would highly recommend this weather you are moving or simply storing your mattress. I bought this with the intent of moving my king sized mattress myself with a friend, but called on professional movers instead. The moment they saw this, they smiled and thanked me profusely before slipping the mattress right into the bag and carrying it out in a fraction of the time. The handholds were perfectly positioned for them to grab and lift. There was a little room left in the bag, so it wasn't a tight fit, but not too loose either. I'm keeping it for the next time I move, but trying to fold it back to its original space-saving square proved impossible. So now it is bunched up in a sloppy roll being stored under the bed that it helped move.

My wife and I (61 & 62) moved a queen sized Purple mattress down a narrow flight of stairs. Wasn’t as difficult as I was expecting (wasn’t easy per se). We folded the mattress in half on the short side (head to foot). I pre-positioned 2 ratchet straps under the tarp and once it was folded my wife laid on the top to keep the mattress from unfolding while I cinched the ratchet straps. From there we slid it on the ground, through the door and down the stairs. Zero damage. Very tough tarp material. Took less than 30 minutes.

I got this because a friend offered me a free, brand-new, very expensive mattress for our guest room. The only problem was that the mattress was queen-sized and located up about four flights of stairs. There were only two of us, and I just didn't know how we were going to do it. The Internet being what it is, I went to Amazon and looked for straps or something. Somewhere deep in the search results, this popped up. It seemed like the perfect solution. Getting the mattress into the bag took a little thinking. What we ended up doing was opening the bag up on the floor beside the bed (it opens up on three sides like a clamshell), and then we slid the mattress onto it and zipped it closed. From there, the straps that are sewn on can be used as handles to lift it and carry it. We managed with only the difficulty that any two people might experience carrying a heavy mattress, but we were able to maneuver it pretty easily with the handles. I dropped my end twice, and the tarp-like material did get scuffed up and torn a bit, but it held up and kept the mattress completely clean. Honestly, I think this is a must for anyone who is moving.

I've moved five times in a year and a half. Dragged the same queen mattress in the same bag across many floors, moving on my own. Wow, the handles are awesome easy to balance with one person. I know have the same queen, one full and twin coming in a few days. Storage ability keeps them dry. I will have to say that the tryed and true queen, with it's many miles, has a slight tear where one of the handles is attached to the bag. Still giving it five stars and as I said, buy again. Thanks for the opportunity to give my opinion.

I bought a Full size mattress for my daughter, but we moved and needed to replace it for a new one. Her Full mattress is brand new, and this bag is very thick, which provides a great coverage and the straps def helped when I moved it into the garage. I do not give it 5 starts because I wish they had a Full size only. I bought a Full/Queen. So it runs a little big for my mattress.

I can’t imaging moving a mattress without a cover; this cover has multiple handles and a zipper! The many handle positions made carrying my queen mattress set easy! Great product and an item no move should be without. I bought two bags, one for the mattress, one for the box spring. Each had extra room, to allow for a deeper mattress, but wouldn’t have had enough room to accommodate both the mattress and box spring in one bag. This is the perfect gift for anyone who is moving a bed! It is sturdy enough to be reused, not just a one time purchase.

I had no idea these existed. Great way to move a mattress. I used this to transport a memory foam mattress on a utility trailer. I had zero concern about getting it dirty or wet. The handles help with lifting and moving. I wish I had these years ago. Great product
