I do like this charger, I know electronics never stay the same. I'm replacing an old metal cased charger and this is so light I'm sure it has no more 'guts' than the simple wall chargers. As an old car enthusiast I do have need for the 6 volt feature and the 2 or 8 amp choice is also nice to have. Use lower amps for better charging, particularly on new first time charge batteries. The Off/On is a great step saving feature, allows you to plug in and then turn on after you have the clamps in place. I'd buy it again. One of those tools that you don't need often but no substitute when you do need it.

Purchased first part of June used a couple times it is now November and it’s not working. Has been kept in the house since purchase and of course my return window has closed Company reached out to me and offered me a full refund because they have a 2 year warranty

Does everything it says, problem is it has a sensor on it to prevent you from doing something wrong so it will not charge a completely dead battery. Second charger I have bought that does this. Hook it up to a battery after having it run dead and the only way you can charge it is to jump off the charger! Honest! I bought this one because the one I had did this and now have two chargers that won’t charge when I really need it.The instructions say to hook up the hot lead and then the ground lead and then plug in the charger. If it doesn’t sense voltage in the proper polarity, it will not come on. This is to keep dummies like us from blowing ourselves up by hooking the charger up backwards. They mention it as a safety factor. The only time I really need a charger is if the battery is dead, but this charger is only a help if I have a battery that doesn’t need charging to actually jumpstart the “safety “ charger. I almost think they are doing this as some kind of response to a government requirement.

My old charger would not charge my batteries that discharged down to 8 volts. I purchased this battery charger because it had a battery recovery mode. I connected it up to the battery and set it to 12v/10A quickly it went into recovery mode. After about two hours I measured the voltage with my meter and the voltage rose to 10v, after about 4 hours the charger went into charge mode and I measured the voltage at 12.1V. After about 8 hours the battery was fully charged to 13.1v. I did the same to my second RV battery and I had the same results. I was ready to dump these batteries and buy new ones before buy this charger and I am 100% happy with my purchase as it saved me hundreds of dollars. Now others might not have the same results as I did and it will be battery dependent. My batteries are 3 years old and went dead after I left accessories on in the RV for 3 weeks. It was certainly worth a shot to purchase this charger. For the build quality, it is plastic and I was surprised at how small and light it was and did not seem to be very durable, yet it was perfectly fine. The LED's are super bright, so bright that it is hard to read mode lettering below them. Overall I like this and would buy again but the long term reliability remains to be seen.

Good: Charger seems to work fine. Charges most of the batteries I've tried within 5-10 hours. This includes 2 Auto batteries, and 1 Motorcycle Battery. Not so much. Amazon specs say: Made in Switzerland. The label on the charger I received says: Made in China. Amazon listing says: 3 year warranty. Enclosed card says: 2 year warranty.
