This thermostat has all the features I have been looking for, and none of the ones I didn’t want, like ‘programable’ or ‘smart’. Easy to use, including setting and resetting the differential (temperature spread). I’m glad I had it professionally installed. After the AC tech hooked it up, the heat function did not work. To prove it wasn’t the thermostat, he connected it directly inside the AC control unit. This, and other tests demonstrated that the cable from the thermostat to the large inside box was defective. After the cable was replaced, everything worked. If I had tried to install it myself, I probably would have assumed the new thermostat was defective. ... show more

I purchased this thermostat to accompany my hydronic sensor. It was very easy to install. My system is heat only and has 2 wires (no C wire), therefore no reasonable WiFi choices are available. In my setup I have one for each of three zones, and they basically act as on-off switches at an upper limit point; the hydronic room sensor does the rest. For battery-only operation, these have reasonably good display visibility. They do the job, which is quite simple in my case. ... show more

Nice light background makes the black temp readings so much easier to read than my fancy Programmable been backlit one. At 84nyears old I don’t need all the programmable features. I just installed this and everything works fine except the back light. No matter how much I hit the plus and minus buttons the back light rarely comes on. If I tap the unit itself hard it might come on but it only blinks... it doesn't stay lit at all.
