This weekends storm took down a large limb from my old maple tree and wiped out my neighbors fence. I was impressed by this little saw. It did great for small limds and not bad for large limbs. It did trip its thermal limits (over heat) when pushed through limbs over 4 inches, but reset after a few minutes cooling and kept on going. Best of all it arrived overnight. This product is great for regular limbs. I don't have thick branches in my yard so I’m not sure how it will do. But it’s great on 3-4 limbs that is in my yard. It’s lightweight and not loud.

    • Amazing price for a mini chainsaw.
This is my second 6” mini chainsaw. I keep the first (which seems identical) at my country house. These little lightweight cordless chainsaws are perfect for one-handed trimming of 2-3” branches as well as vines and dense stems. This one has plenty of power and the battery’s hold a great, long charge. Its major weakness is the battery charger which many reviewers have comment on. The chargers frequently arrive faulty (as mine first one did), and don’t switch themselves off (from red-charging to green-fully charged) when the battery is fully charged…..and the distributer will NOT replace the faulty charger. I had to purchase a replacement from Amazon ($11) which works fine, but that was annoying and raised the cost of the complete saw package almost into the same price range as all the other mini-saws that are available. The charger in this unit works just fine. Keep in mind that these cheap mini-saws do not have chain oilers, so the chain heats up and will wear out quickly unless you spray oil on them frequently during use. They are very easy to sharpen, however, using a 5/32” rotary sharpener and a dremal tool. Mini-chain saws with built in chain-oilers are indeed available, but they are prohibitively expensive ($99-$199) and they don’t cut a bit better. Just carry a small spray can of WD-40 with you while cutting, and spray the hot chain every so often. Works great. ... show more

    • Handy, but keep batteries charged and keep saw cool
Glad that it came w/2 batteries but could use a 3rd. This saw isn't intended for anything too serious as it overheats and shuts down if you try to cut through 3" and up. But it makes quick work of pruning trees. Just bring the spare battery with you when you go out into the yard.

    • Works great, for awhile
I was so impressed with this little saw that I bought some for friends. Out of the 5 I bought 3 have quit working. Only one died early enough for a replacement. The price is nice but if you need something that’s going to keep working this is not the tool to buy.

    • Almost there, but ...
Cuts well and is easy to handle and light. Good value for the price. However, two things that could be improved are the blade adjuster and the case. Its great that they provide a screw driver for adjusting the blade but it is too short a shaft and it does not fit the screw head very well. The short blade puts your hand right next to the blade and often nicked myself on the blade trying to adjust it. Also, the plastic around the adjustment hole is smaller than the driver head and was deformed quickly. The case is nice, but you cannot store the assembled saw in it. You have to disassemble it after each use. Not a major deal but certainly a nuisance. The above would not stop me from buying this saw again, but it would improve the value. ... show more

    • So far so good
This is the third different battery operated chainsaw I've purchased, the other two burned up on the first use. This one I have used twice and is working good. No complaints so far, however I am trimming 3 palm trees this weekend so I will update.
