This is my first metal detector, so my review is not based on experience with any other products. But I am very pleased with the Nokta Legend metal detector. And this package, which includes the AccuPoint pin-pointer and Nokta low latency headphones is a great value. With the V1.13 software upgrade these three pieces of hardware work together seamlessly. It is a very helpful feature to have the Bluetooth headphones automatically switch to the hear the pin-pointer when you turn it on and then back to the detector when you turn it off. I plan to do a separate review on the pin-pointer, which is also a very good product. I have included several picture of what I have found. I've only been out on 6 days and accumulated only 20 hours so far, but you can see that I have found over a dozen coins and several interesting objects including a rusty ax head, jackknife, brass padlock and a .925 silver bracelet. As you can see I've also found a lot of trash, which is just a part of metal detecting. But I am impressed with the how well the Nokta Legend detector identifies targets and it's ability to detect very small objects deep in the ground (e.g. 12+ inches and less than 1/4 inch in size). The unit is also lightweight with a carbon fiber shaft which is a high-end feature. Also completely waterproof, although I haven't tested that yet. The learning curve to understand all the features takes some time, but you can started without knowing every option. I appreciate that The Legend is very customizable and I will be able to grow with it.

Main shaft assembly wobbles a bit when extended for a 6'0" tall male adult human (man!) Concerned with the coil mounting hardware. 38999 style connections are the cheapest connectors I have ever seen, find myself continually checking if threaded waterproof tight. Out of the box the head unit is nearly unusable. Can't get target I'd to calm down under any setting or condition! Extremely noisy. Tested it against my whites 4900/d, Missed a 1/2 buffalo silver bullion round at 7" on a dry beach (the 4900 found it instantly. Sorry Nokta, I was very excited about this owning this detector.) UPDATE: After firmware update detector has calmed down considerably! (went back to beach to verify) However now I wonder if I'm notching or squelching out the booty! Shaft seems better after some fiddling, the connectors are still suspect! I will update after more use! "The Detector Experts" have been there since my first complaint and guided me to happiness! Thanks

First class! When you open the box, you immediately can tell it’s a cut above those inexpensive metal detectors. It comes with a real full-size, glossy instruction book that covers everything in plain English. I’ll try to update after using it.

Bad out of the box. Audio tones pulsing constantly as soon as the unit is powered on and nowhere near the ground. Called one of the largest dealers (since no Nokta help line is available) and they listened to the detector going crazy and told me that it was abnormal and should be returned. Ordered another one and will post a review of it when it comes in.
